Speaking to German newspaper BILD, reported by channel Sport1 , Raiola said: " Man United is a unique opportunity, Micki wants to go there."

Mkhitaryan's contract at Borussia Dortmund runs out in one year, and Raiola is pushing hard for a move now, despite the German club threatening they may keep him and let him leave in a year's time on a free transfer.

are we really in for Micky?he's a very intelligent player with excellent close control and he's fast also..

May be we are being marginalized. Mikel was the most creative player of his age, if he were white, they would have created an attacking space for him. But on getting to Chelsea he was converted to a DM to learn to play like Makalele and Essien.

If he were Spanish or German or English, legends would have brought out their daggers against a brainless coach killing 'the most latent talent in the history of football.

Also, big clubs trust more European goalkeepers. Manchester United would rather play Ben Foster rather than buy Enyeama as a back to. All the Thomas Ukonos, Rufai, Shoronmu never played for big clubs. Roger Miller and Henry Nwosu were some of the most creative players, which club did they play for?

In a nutshell, African/black players are mostly needed to cover for the less competitive or less glamorous positions in football.

Put on your thinking cap before posting stupid things. Is Kalou white? or Depay, Ashely young, Shaun wright,Malouda,Nani as well as many black attackers and wingers.the list is endless when did we starting measuring players position based on racism.?

You blacks keep justifying the whiteman's assertion that blacks have low IQ.with statements like this own.

Can you imagine? He's been converted to a striker at City.

Clown .so been a striker is now bad. is he the only player whose natural position was changed? Drogba was converted from a defender to a striker . Bale was converted from a defender to a winger. Flipe Luis from midfider to defender. and many more examples.players are converted based on a Coach's thoughts about were the player will fit in. not everything you people starting crying racism. get some sense.

Athleticism is not a disadvantage at all!

My point has always been that Blacks are mainly strong and fast. That's ouright selling point.

Technical ability is not really our selling point.

The Europeans are great technicians but not necessarily great athletes.

Please if na play stop am though. Please don't compare Pogba and Toure to Silva and Fabregas. The first two cannot do what the other two can with the ball.

Every player have their attributes irrespective of their race. are blacks stronger than the German machines or East Europeans players? how many black places are faster than Bale,Ronaldo,Harzard and many other white player?

Lol!
No one is saying being a striker isn't good but most coaches tends to view blacks as players that are meant for roles like the defence, defensive midfield, forward or wing roles, probably due to their physical strength and pace.
The same reason Mikel was turned into a defensive Midfielder without giving him any trial in the attacking role to see how good he is.
The point is if Iheanacho was a white and had the performance he had at the u17, he would be seen as a no 10 who needs a team to be built around him. However, he was immediately turned into a striker.
Kaka for example was known for his goals than his creativity yet he was constantly deployed in the no 10 role.
As per Bale being converted, he was known for his attacking play than his defensive play as a wingback before Spurs signed him. It was the coach fault for turning him into a LB when he's no one. It's like signing Cuadadro only to deploy him as a RB.

egbon dayo you have come again with this your half measure analysis

okocha was useless in atlanta 96 yet he scored one of the goals in the match against mexico in the quarters which if we hadn't won we would never have been in a position to face brazil in the semis

you mentioned usa 94 but you conveniently forgot france 98 korea/japan 2002. in usa 94 yes he was too fanciful which is not uncommon with your players starting out with their national teams. in france 98 jayjay was the man first two matches he played we won. last match against paraguay where kanu your hero played 90 minutes no suprises we were flogged senseless. in the unfortunate match against denmark jayjay was our shining light doing all he could to inspire the team in a losing effort even tried to assist your hero but trust him he blew his chance one on one against smiechael. 2002 world cup kanu again no where to be found. while jayjay again was our stand out player. don't even get me started on AFCON tournaments where okocha was always the main man and kanu's contributions where minimal at best.

okocha may not have fully lived up to his potential but no truthful fan of nigerian football would say he wasn't one of our best players in the golden generation of the 90s. it sacrilege comparing him to quaresma pray tell in which tournament did he ever shine for portugal?. i fit even ignore that one as bad as it is but saying kanu (a player who could not score a single goal in any senior international tournament he featured for nigeria) is better than jayjay is height of football blasphemy

sleekdot:

Charlie Adams because of the way he too dominated midfield at a low table club

First of all in Atlanta 96 Okocha was the most useless offensive player we had. And one of the most useless the entire tournament
If not for the doggedness of Amokachi and Skills of Kanu, Okocha would have cost us the tournament. vs Brazil in the semi finals he was the most useless player on the field, missed a penalty started laughing blowing away shots over the bar

Now to USA 94:
First match 3-0 win vs Bulgaria Okocha did not play a single minute in the match
Second match 1-2 loss to Argentina Okocha played 2 minutes
Third match 2-0 win vs Greece Okocha played 20mins

So in the 270mins to get to the second round in USA 94 Okocha played just 22mins Thats like 8%.
So explain how without Okocha we wouldnt have got to the 2nd round like you claimed?

In the second round Okocha started and that was one of the mistakes we made in the game cos he was contented with his aimless and senseless dribbles and we crashed out

Quaresma and Okocha are very similar in that they have the purpose of footbal twisted upside down, they think its just to come and do fancy tricks without end results. Instead of sidefooting a cross Quaresma would use the outside of the wrong foot and Okocha would do a Rabona.

Only a useless player with priorities upside down would dribble a player instead of accelerating away, stand still and wait for the player to recover OR dribble the whole defence and keeper and turn around to re-dribble them again

Even though Quaresma as even performed at a bigger club, I still rate him on the same level as Okocha in football intelligence

When the going got tough in Atlanta we knew those who stood up and Okocha was not one of them. Babayaro, Amokachi, King Kanu Oliseh

The poster I quoted specified US 94 which Okocha did nothing, but lets now go to the Japan Korea 02. What did Okocha do In Japan Korea?

Nothing, Our midfield was overrun what did he do? The only goal we scored was a Yobo cross and an Aghahowa header, what did Okocha contribute other than to celebrate and remove his jersey showing his underwear "I love you Nkechi" or something like that?

France 98 again what did Okocha do in the first 2 games? we scored 3 goals vs Spain, No goal no assist, vs Bulgaria, they overran our midfield and we won courtesy of an early goal by Ikpeba I think it was Amokachi who even gave that assist. Our elimination game vs Denmark what was Okocha doing other than senseless dribble, we went 2 goals down but Okocha chose that day to display his rainbow flicks , rabona and senseless football.

There is a reason top European clubs were after Kanu and other Nigerian players, while Okocha was playing in Bolton and Fenerbahce

There is a reason Kanu was 2 times African player of the year, Yekini, Amunike, Ikpeba all won while Okocha couldnt win 1

There is a reason Kanu is a CL winner while Okocha barely left a mark in the top European competition

There is a reason Kanu was once voted 6th best in the whole world, and Okocha?

The French line up is out. Martial and Conman start on the wings, with Payet in the middle and Giroud as CF ; Pogba and Griezman have been dropped. It's obvious Deschamps the French coach has some balls, even more than Hougston to drop the two biggest French faces of the tournament for under performing in the previous game. Albania would sit back mostly and this could be interesting. I hope Martial takes this chance properly to cement a place. Well if he fails to, then he would play few minutes in the tournament and that's not bad either because he'll be fresher for next season. Either way, it's win win.

Nice one from the coach. A great example for coaches to follow,no be the one wey dem go dey suck useless/underperforming players balls.

Meanwhile, I saw your comment on cfc trying to sign Andre Gomez. Please do you mind sharing your general opinion about the guy? I havent seen the dude play before. Thanks.

He's talented but not worth that price even for a punt. He's an attacking AM with impressive technique but he's very inconsistent and far from being a world beater. He's tall or lanky and physical enough for the PL, tidy on the ball and has some pace. I watched him play at Valencia and he didn't stand out to me especially with the mediocre season they had. He's part of the Portuguese squad at the Euros and I think he played on the wings(not his best position) but managed to assist a goal to conclude a decent performance. I don't know if he could do a job for Chelsea but here at United I don't find him good enough as an upgrade to any of our current options in his position like Herrera for example so we don't need him and not especially at the prices being quoted.

I see we are strongly linked to Mkhitarian, even the BBC is on it. We have made a low bid which Dormund rejected. That's good I would say.

I though he was gonna certainly end up at Arsenal and now it won't take long for Arsenal folks to say that's he's sh1t because they aren't getting him.
