Okay agreed that Shaw makes safe passes and accurate passes is a stat that gives little away. What of key passes, where they not in the smae range. Tell me the key stats where young performed better. He had only 3 crosses better than Shaw. He made only 1 accurate long ball to Shaws non. Thats is 1-0 not 10-0 as you would want us to believe. We are not even supposed to be a long ball team but let's praise Young for his one accurate long ball. In what way is young proving better than Shaw or you want to use young playing right back as defence abi?

For me, as long as Shaw is playing the left back, our left attacking side which is our strength will be laboured. We however need to to bring a good right forward player, but the board did not support Mourinho.

Another area is the central defence where Smalling has been the only consistent player. We needed a commander there.

Today’s match, the starting eleven was poor, and I felt that was in view of the coming UCL match. It looks like Valencia, Sanchez, Lingard were kept for the UCL because I see no reason they were not even used as subs.
