Manchester United are interested in signing Issa Diop and they are willing to pay in excess of £45m plus a player for the West Ham defender, according to Sky sources.

The Hammers have let it be known that Diop is not for sale and it is believed they would not even listen to offers of less than £60m.

Diop played 38 times last season after moving to the London Stadium from Toulouse last summer for £22m.

United want to sign a centre back this summer. They have been told by Napoli that Kalidou Koulibaly would cost about £100m while Leicester City value Harry Maguire at £80m.

Please no need for scouting unproven players at this stage of our transition, we need top quality players at the moment to get us to the top real fast. I can't remember anybody telling Pep to be scouting for unproven players when he was splashing real cash on top quality players( Sane, Silva, Mahrez, Mendy,Laporte,Kyle Walker, Ederson,John stones, Gundogan etc) .

Please this is not time for experiment, lets go at there and get Koulibaly, Maguire, Wan Bissaka, Bruno fernandes etc, if that is what Ole needs for us to compete again.
