I know a couple of reasons why they are worn-to prevent their butts from shaking too much, and to cover up when on okada and you're wearing a skirt. To be honest, I don't know how comfortable they are in such clingy material in that hot sun. Overall the thing is razz. Synonymous to naija men and their dead boxers that is scared of water and detergent. Now that's just gross.

You subconsciously look to the left, and the sight that graced your eyes was that of a beautiful lady wearing a black skirt over a yellow cycling shorts. 
You look to the right, and the sight is not any better; a sexy damsel is sitting on an Okada, and all you can see are orange cylcling shorts.
The guy in question is gonna be moody for the rest of the day.

Nigerian ladies, cycling shorts are solely made for cyclers!
As a lady and a non-cycler, wearing CS as an undergarment in the boiling climate of Nigeria, is both unhygienic and tacky!
Imagine the stench that would attack a husband, when his wife takes off her yeye cycling shorts in the bedroom, after a long day at work. It's a complete turn-off! 

Ladies, there are alternatives to CS. Panties/booty-shorts and underskirts are more appropriate.
