i have a 2000 ford explorer cleared in lagos. i'd like to keep it so i can drive it when i visit, and then sell it. Question is, would i need to register it and get a tag before i drive it or is there some sort of temporary tag that i can use? i'll need it for just 5 days and i dont think its worth registering. can i just use the clearing paperworks and drive without tag? Please if you have experience in this abeg suggest o. thanks

In as much as you clear it through the right way and have all the documents intact, you can cruise it for even more than 5days i think.you dont have to register a plate number or so cos it would be useless when you need to sell it,

thanks showbobo, but by the time i get home it would have been over 2 months since the car was cleared. i have the proper documents, shey there is no time factor/limit?
