Exactly my case , being in oil and gas sector then ,business moving like a fast train , I was practicing the submissive women under the manipulation of the igbo culture that l let myself be swindled In the name of marriage .Any time I bring up investing of my money in property is causes a huge fight that am not submissive and not ready to be a wife.Next thing is for him to present to me a business proposal of his and I will be manipulated into helping him achieve his goal.and he vowed that his wife can’t have a property under her name even though she is working as in my case.2012 before we bought Ogudu ,First bank offered me mortgage of 20yrs for 25m with equity contribution of 30% for 4bedroom duplex at diamond estate sangotedo ajah beside novare mall then no mall was in existence around that vicinity , I drove from mainland to see the house as I got home excited and told my dear husband , he said all sorts of humiliating words to be and picked up fight . I got weak and lost the opportunity. Now the estate house now cost 60m now and empty plot 30m . It’s my past though. I have gotten over it , just a lesson to the gullible women out there . emmanuelewumi:
Sorry about your loss, very important for us to invest on our financial education. Not blaming our pastors, but some women push the submission talk to an extreme level that they can't think for themselves.
A lady saved money from her catering business and wanted to buy a plot of land so that the family can build a house of their and stop paying rent. The husband discouraged her and used the money to buy a family car.
Four years after when she saved another substantial fund, I personally assisted her to buy a land at Otta in her children's names in order to avoid the husband's trouble. The house is now completed and that is where the family now moved to, when the husband was retired. The husband is a friend to my younger brothers

Theconglomerate: FEC meeting causing pandemonium in the fx market as we speak, but the degree of impact of the pandemonium seem to be almost insignificant as we just have 5 naira losses across segments. I envisage a further drop after the meeting though, even though the fx market is unpredictable and one can hardly ever be right with these things. Who knows what's going on? Currency people make we discuss How does FEC meeting affect fx market. I have moved from holding/trading dollar to stable coin pegged to the dollar in crpto most especially busd. You don't need any intermediary to buy or sell your dollar equivalent. You can try that space. 1 Like |

On point! emmanuelewumi:
Peter needs a life insurance policy, if he dies today the standard of living of his family will drastically nosedive in less than 2 years.
If John dies today his family will still maintain the same or better standard of living.
Reason why investment income is very important.
Also important to invest part of our active income eg salaries, commission etc into investments so as to earn investment income

Too bad, you now agree with me that women are emotional. Some men now specialise in manipulating them. Teach your girl to be confident and be of high esteem and should know they can have assets in their names A man once told his wife to sell a property she inherited, can you see the manipulation. After selling the property, he will now add little money to it to buy another property that will be in his name or the name of both of them. Their pastor had to intervene, into the matter 6 Likes |
