First bank just sent my money back to me saying "Failed NTB transaction". Is this a joke or something? How are we sure these banks are not trying to keep our money with them instead of keying it in T.bills on our behalf. I wish everyone can bid directly without having to go through these banks. My question: 1. Does anyone know if I can bid for TB through FBN Asset Management(FBNquest). I'm thinking they may be more responsible than FBN. 2. Is it possible to bid through Fidelity Securities without having a fidelity bank account? 3. Big boss @feelamong, how can you link a brother up with your contacts at Fidelity Securities? @feelamong, @easyflow and other gurus, over to you, thanks for the usual help. 1 Like |

kristien4: I think the only factor that makes it stress-free is that you go with bank rate. Mentioning TB to them changed swing their mood negatively in my observation. Worst still, the Customer Service Officer will be looking at you like a goat upon mentioning TB: they have no clue at all. My freedom of choice is non-negotiable: I will soon visit them for total transfer of my money to another reliable bank in terms of TB. |

I bidded for 91days at 14%, two days ago at GTBank. I'm just coming from there as I type. The useless account officer told me their 91days bid didn't go through. I told him to bid for the next auction .I might not wait for next auction, i'll definitely transfer the funds to the secondary market by Monday. Bullshit 1 Like |

Re: Treasury Bills In Nigeria by feelamong(m): 3:56pm On Sep 01, 2016 |
abimbola01: For treasury Bills auction..you are served based on the bid discount rate you quoted! 18.40% was the stop rate so any one that bids below that would be served based on their rates.. as for those that bidded above they are on their own.. while those that bidded at exactly that rate would have to wait to see that they have not been prorated based on the no of winning bids at that rate.. 1 Like |

I did 180 days @17% with Fcmb. Though, I'm yet to be debited but i can see a hold with pending transaction of the bid amount in my account. In my opinion, it's better to bid by yourself if your bank allows it as you can monitor and tell if your bid was successful or not. Going with the bank rate will leave you at the mercy of the bank as you cannot tell if they are being truthful when they tell you their bid was unsuccessful 1 Like |

manlikegb:. FBN returned my money this afternoon too. Failed NTB 91 days. This is the second time they're failing me back to back and they won't allow one to bid. With this recession i tink i go jus go tie the money 4 land. Money is losing value by the day.. |
