12%......for 365days. I thought the benchmark was 15.5%........pls educate me.

Benchmark for lending, does not matter if you're lending to government or the private sector, you can't get a loan for less than 15.5%.Although it will also Treasury Bills, commercial papers and bonds. The yield on

Most financial institutions will add a premium of 4 to 7.

Why is no one talking about the current FGN bond at 12.38 percent? Not a good deal?

So the accrued interest payment is not upfront? Do u have to wait till the end of tenor?

Is this rate uniform across board irrespective of the TIME (number of Days) and principal invested? Unlike in tbills.

There is no tenor per se. It's d investor that determines the tenor ie you can invest as long as you wish as short as 30 days or as long as you wish.
The accrued interest is paid at the end of each quarter ie end of December, March, June and September respectively irrespective of the date you start your investment the payment date is the same the interest is prorated.

The prevalent rate affects both old or new deposits.
