please dont accept. they are selling to you from their books. or better still ask them to give you at 14.5% which i think is fantastic deal else, you wait till next auction but the bank may frustrate you during the auction if you peg a bid rate with them.

i will advice you use another bank.

That rate is quite low.
_you should be able to get a higher rate for 365days.
I ll advice you decline the offer #my2cents

No way! They can't frustrate me because they know how hard I can go on them......I will wait till auction but if they will give me 14% for 365days,I can accept because I don't like to waste time.....Banks are very greedy............

Just 9days before the next auction......I think the best thing is to wait coz I can't accept 13%......If they offer 14%,I will accept but it seems they are too greedy.......

14% is quite good,IF they offer.
But the best thing remains you waiting till the next auction.

Re: Treasury Bills In Nigeria by ACL(m): 2:48pm On Feb 10, 2015
please what does the quoted word below means

"Upon maturity, your investment proceeds will be credited into your account (******0914) on 07 May 2015. Kindly note that your investment is subject to a custody fee of 0.0900% on the Face Value of asset over the tenor deducted from the upfront interest."

i just got my TBills investment advice from diamond bank, saying 9.5% for 160days days meanwhile i was told interest was 10.5% when i was applying for it.

Anyways, you have to calculate 10.333% of 600,000 first. the result you get is Per Annum interest (ie 61,998 is P/A interest).
Since your bid is for 91 days, it means 1/4 of 364 days. you now divide the interest by 4. (61,998/4 = 15,499.5) this will give you your actual interest for 91 days.

or better still, after calculating 10.333% of 600,000. the result is interest for 364 days. from there, calculate what one day interest will be by dividing the result by 364 (61,998/364 = 170.324). and then multiply it by 91 days (91X170.324=15,499.5) or any number of bid days you got to have your final or true interest.

Minimum is 10k by CBN policy. Some banks just up their game on their own. if the branch is not playing ball, call or mail their headquarters and take the copy to the branch. They must act.

Following the trend, 15% won't be farfetched but 14% is more realistic.

FBN capital presently offer attractive rates on TB. I was able to get 13.9% on 1million naira for 182days but they don't process less than 1m for TB.

I don't think so! I did 120 less than 3 months ago. I just sent a mail to my account officer and that was it.

The caveat is that you can't determine your rate. It's determined by gt
