Bennycollins:this is the mindset that is keeping Africans POOR! .. a guy put $10000 in Warren Buffet's fund company and after 50 years, it is worth over $50 million!! He never lifted another finger. .. if you do not build up funds for when you retire, you will SUFFER and your children will SUFFER... even if they make enough to take moderate care of you..they will be suffering because they could have been investing such funds for their own future. .. i am a living witness of this occurence ... good luck chopping your money because "life is short" .. what if yours becomes longer than most? 18 Likes 2 Shares |

benson4u:use an example and tell us HOW its done. .. I never said its not possible to start a business with 100k. .. e.g; one can start a beans retail by buying Wheelbarrow ~ 20k 2 bags of beans ~ 30k store it at home ..then roll some to a market or junction and sell there. i dont know the returns, this is an example .. treasury bills are for those with large funds or have no time to go and start such petty business (self-employment). 3 Likes |

Life is too short we know, if you are lucky or unlucky and yours becomes longer, are you going to commit suicide. We have choices, live your day as if its the last but for me and my family, we will live our days as if its the beginning, more to come. My retirement is my driving force. I cant die hoping on people, i will die making every choice and decisions all the days of my life and not teleguided because someone is paying the old piper. So much fun in the future, dont miss out. 14 Likes 1 Share |

funny people. I think they best life is just to balance everything. Don't be a money miss road,in other words... Don't spend all your days in this beautiful life pursuing money only to die without enjoying the fruit of your labour. Also, don't spend all the money "enjoying" because if you do,na better poverty go catch you like a thief in the future if you manage to live longer than you expected. Even if you couldn't,your kids (the reasonable ones who won't blow away everything) will appreciate you keenly for what you did for them. 15 Likes 1 Share |

I’m not sure there’s even an argument on which is better. They both have their pros and cons Some people are still in active paid employment and only move their savings to TBs. Not everyone has the time to run a biz. Also, we all can’t be Entrepreneurs. Some have the time but not the risk appetite Lastly, it’s about growing your stream of incomes. You can run a biz and still move your excesses to TB So do what works best for you. My 2cents oluayebenz: 4 Likes |

Bennycollins:The question I asked myself was that driving a corolla rather than Benz ML350, does it spells less comfort or less "flashyness". there is a difference between wants and needs. I still club, drive and do every other things. But gone are those days you spend without thinking if it is a need or want. My friend you get the point. 12 Likes 1 Share |

Rule #11 - Money is your personal army, it should go out and bring back prisoners Every dollar you have is your personal soldier. Every morning you send them out onto the battlefield. Some will die, some will conquer. Your goal is for more of them to return back home with prisoners. If you start thinking about your freedom soldiers, you'll begin to be a lot more careful of the troops you give away when someone asks to borrow some of your soldiers. Every time you give someone money, you run the risk of this person killing your soldiers and never seeing them again - soldiers that would have served you well! When you have no soldiers you're wiped out - that's the game of life https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_emBcTU0wKo 12 Likes |

Good Morning great minds. (THE NEW LASGIDI). An eye opener about *IBEJU LEKKI* *Here's What many did not know about Victoria Island* What if my parents had the insight to buy into Victoria Island back then? Well,....that's a story for another day. Last week Tuesday, I set out for a site inspection of the much talked about *New Lagos - Ibeju Lekki* along with my team, we covered the Ibeju Lekki axis. I marveled at the sight of several of organisations, developments and opportunities springing up there. Few minutes from Eleko Junction, I saw the very popular *Amen Estate* (if you are a follower of Jennifer's Diary, it's the estate used as the major location of the soap opera) which now sells for N12m...right inside Ibeju Lekki. We drove up 2 minutes and we came across *Shoprite's new site (already fenced)* that will serve Ibeju Lekki inhabitants and visitors in few years time. We journeyed up to the massive *Lekki Free Trade Zone* that is stationed to bring international trade closer. Can you see what am seeing? We continued up and we got to *Dangote Refinery* still under construction with lot of activities up already. And another new development is already in place - *the 3 lanes expansion of the expressway has began*. By the way, have you seen the master plan of the smart city development at Ibeju-Lekki? It's a Lagos State Govt. and Dubai deal, signed by Gov. Akinwunmi Ambode. Meanwhile, am not through... Beside Dangote Refinery, we have *Dano milk, Power Oil and Kelloggs* already operating in this our New Lagos. On the other side of the road, we have *Lekki Sea Port* still under construction. As if we've not seen enough, we drove up again until we came across *Oriental Hotel's new site* that will lodge travelers landing at the *new international airport* along the Lekki-Epe Expressway. We visited the natural sea resort destination *La Campaign Tropicana* where you get to appreciate nature at it's finest - a serene resort away from the hustle and bustle of the Lagos city. These are just some of the notable areas within Ibeju Lekki that I came across in just a day visit. There are still lot more top organisations of different sectors that are positioning their sites here in preparation for the big one -*The New Lagos* I hope you can foresee what your property will be worth when you have this top guys as your neighbours and have you thought of the class of people that will also stay here? *That plot of land you get today will appreciate to N60m in no time.* Don't hesitate Remember yesterday it was Ikoyi, Victoria Island, today it is Lekki, Ajah and tomorrow the concentration will be focused on *Ibeju Lekki - The New Lagos.*, do you still think it's far? Smart investors never called *Lekki phase1 or VGC far back then*, ask VP Osinbajo. INVEST NOW IN OUR ESTATES AT REHOBOTH PARKS AND GARDENS IBEJU-LEKKI. Private Chat for the List of Our Estates. |

kisszhira: My interpretation of it is that if you're going to lend money, lend to someone that is creditworthy - don't be sentimental. Lending money to the government via TB is pretty much straightforward, you know (there's a high probability) that ALL your soldiers will come back with prisoners. 1 Like |

Nice input from all the gurus in the house. It is important to save money as much as you can and guide your money jealously. Also remember to enjoy life as you work hard for your money, but don't live extravagantly or buy things you don't need or things you can do without. And also try to be greedy a bit when trying to get to the top of the ladder, greediness is a very important factor if you want to become rich or wealthy in life. Most wealthy people all over the world are extremely greedy but become generous after making wealth. But be generous and help those that truly needs it once you become rich, most of the money you will be using to help others could be interest from your capital. Capital is meant to be inherited by our children when we join our ancestors, (most wealthy people spend only the interest on their capital) that's why it is critically important to start teaching our children the rules of money at an early age. Remember to also build your spiritual life as strong as possible, as you become more successful in life, many friends and family members will hate you with passion and secretly wish for your downfall due to envy. Building a strong spiritual life is one way you can overcome the hates and challenges that comes with wealth and influence. The Hustling Continues, God Bless YOu All. 19 Likes 1 Share |

Good evening everyone I have been following up with the very intelligent discussions here and it's been enlightening. Whilst I applaud treasury bills as a good investment Platform I would however admit that with the current Nigerian situation, business is the best way to make good profit. I export charcoal and currently we are looking for investors to meet up with our demand. We have very wonderful interest rates that would impress you. We have concluded business deals with some very prominent Nairalanders. If interested you can contact me. Cheers |
