Do All Nigerian Politicians Use Juju Protection? by Nobody: 10:24pm On Feb 24, 2012
Some years back, my family tried to indulge in the Nigerian politics (at the state and local govt. levels), and were beaten hands down by some devil-hearted folks…lolz, and ever since then, we had been warned to stay away from anything that has to do with Nigerian politics, if we truly want to live long here on planet earth, but I still don’t buy this idea cos, I have a doting passion for this very thing called ‘politics’, despite the warnings and evidences, so in my ponder, I have decided to throw this question open to the entire members of NL. Before I forge ahead, I am pretty convinced that majority (if not all) of us are all aware of the present situation surrounding politics in Nigeria; the assassination of prominent opponents, blackmail, election rigging (changing of figures, snatching of ballot boxes, intimidation of electorates, etc), and most terrifyingly, the use of charms, voodoo or what we call ‘juju’ or ‘jaz’ to knock out political opponents and office holders, making it a very dangerous and a ‘no go’ area for the soft-hearted, religious, or clean folks.

Haven established the above facts, I now want to know; do all Nigerian politicians consult voodoo, witch doctors, babalawos, dibia, jaz, juju, etc, to knock out their political opponents (during and after election), to influence their cabinet members, party and, or to protect themselves from threats and dangers coming from their numerous enemies (those they must have stepped upon while striving to rule by force)?

If they do, please how can we begin to change this orientation and practice? You know why I asked…lolz…? Because I am so afraid of ‘juju’ or ‘jaz’ more than armed robbers or assassins…lolz, because to run away from it, you need to belong to a high spiritual ream (Christian-wise or voodoo-wise), and who said it’s easy to belong strongly in any of those? Let’s hear your say on this national palaver.
