Good evening pretty mamas. Update on my case. I went for the scan today and everything is fine. No retained products of conception. Except for a tiny cyst which my gynae friend said will likely resolve on its own. Prescribed Cefixime and flagyl antibiotics. I am glad I didn't hurriedly agree to subject my body to the evacuation just because my ex-gynae insisted without even examining me. Thanks to you all here, your encouragement strengthened my resolve . I attached the result. And that miscarriage chapter is finally closed. Back to ttc club now. Kpekusing on point

Thanks feddy22 for your advice. You are right in a way. Zaynie, you nailed it. We can learn from our pain. In my experience, I've seen that there are doctors and there are 'doctors'. Its God that will help us to meet the right ones. Some drs are ready to go the extra mile, some are not patient enough and just want to take advantage. May God help us to always come out victorious no matter what.

Zaynie I agree with you. I remember being totally shocked by all I pains I experienced post CS as per FTM. all the birth stories I read here prior to then never mentioned the CS recovery phase so I was totally unprepared mentally for it which was why when I posted my birth story it was really long and I narrated my experience both pre and post delivery so that other mums will learn.

Feddy27, I also agree with you in finding out the root cause. I delivered through emergency CS and after I was all settled, I sat down to analyse what could have been done differently to prevent such from happening because I had a relatively smooth pregnancy.

My mum was furious that I was allowed to get to 40 weeks and she couldn't understand why I wasn't induced. She is of the opinion that the longer the pregnancy, the higher the risks so by week 38/39, baby should be out.

In my own opinion, I wish I had just checked myself into the hospital earlier. I mistook contractions for constipation as per JJC I was "constipated" for about 2days before I checked myself in at the hospital. I was thinking it wasn't my EDD yet so no rush. Maybe if I had gotten to the hospital earlier, my baby would not have been distressed to require an intervention.

Most importantly, we should listen to our doctors and also study our baby's movements. If kicking/movements are reduced at any time, please do not hesitate to go to the hospital for immediate checks and monitoring.

Induction, CS, forceps delivery, vaginal delivery - it doesn't matter. All that matters is baby alive, mother alive.

This is the learning for all of us! Thanks love for your contribution

So I went to see the gynae yesterday. He didn't even check me. When he checked my card and I explained what happened, the bleeding, the clots. He just said it's an incomplete miscarriage and I should come to his own specialist clinic for evacuation the next day. No explanation, nothing. He gave us his card, wrote address, that we should come with plenty money. I asked him that what could have caused it, that will he check me to see if it's complete or not. He said I shouldn't ask too much questions, that even in England, when he talks they listen bla bla bla. *England ko, Egbeda ni, mtschw* That my husband should come too, so that they will check him too and do sperm test and analysis. That until we come to his clinic and pay before he can go further in doing anything with us. That card is N2000 & we shd call him later in the day for him to tell us the price of other things. And that was all. His attitude was just so unpleasant. Just seemed to be about the money. We just left. Nonsense. Am I not a patient? After paying consultation fee, cant you explain anything to me? Dh was so pissed he tore the man's card to pieces. I left that office more upset than when I entered. If not for the explanation from this thread, I'll just be confused. I called a family friend who's a gynea but based in Federal Hospital, Umuahia & explained everything. And he said, at this point, the gynae doesn't need to check my hubby, that its in case of infertility, which is not the case here. That the gynae suppose to check me i.e pelvic exam and send me for scan to check if there is any remaining tissue. But that from my explanation, he almost feels that I have expelled everything and no need for evacuation but that next week I should go and do a scan to check if there's any remaining tissue. If there is, that's only when evacuation is needed. I just came home and slept jare.

I just tire o. I'm never going back there!

I'm not against evacuation. I know two friends who each had miscarriage, one needed evacuation, the other didn't need it. They're both pregnant with their second baby. So I know that evacuation is not automatic after miscarriage. But if need be, I'm willing to do it for my rainbow babies but not under someone who wants to take advantage of me. Meanwhile, I will do another scan next week to know how far while I search for another hospital.

Mitchyy, please give me directions to Vigor Hospital.

Anyone who can direct me to any good hospital around the island, Ajah, Lekki area. Has anyone used General Hospital, Akodo? How is it please?

Someone suggested RJolad at Gbagada, but the distance... But if worse comes to worst, I have no choice. Those using it, please how is it? Antenatal, gynae stuff, price etc

Also, please mamas who had blighted ovum or miscarriage, did they do sperm analysis for your Dh before you conceived again?

cutenik, I had the same issue @16wks.the Dr said placenta was low but at my last scan at 28wks the placenta had moved up.unless the seniors can suggest wat to do, me sha I did nothing cos the Dr said there was nothing I could do.

It will move up as ur uterus expands..for now noting to fear, u r still in 2nd trimester.
The doc isn't even suppose to mention it to u now. Until u get to 3rd trimester. Before low lying pplacenta becomes a cause for worry that needs regular mointoring.

Abeg o let ur baby bi healthy o.
Ideal weight at term shud be 3.5kg.
Actually anyting below 3. 0kg at term isn't ideal for well fed,healthy baby unless if gene played a role or the baby was preterm.
I know we r scared of tears but abeg mk we consider our baby health too.

I no get strength for Govt hospital, they are too far from me
I get quite anxious to go for my first scan, cos I do not have MS, just a large appetite and plenty spitting.
I also have issues after eating, it feels like the food is coming back up, inyama!
As for prenatals I have switched from Folic Acid to Pregnacare Plus, bought calcium tabs but still waiting for morale to swallow them cos they are quite big.
I thought you were supposed to have this insatiable desire to kpekus in the 1st trimester, I don't feel sexy at all these days, especially at night. Lord let this cup of spitting pass over please, DH bought me a large bag of tiger nuts last night. so far its been helping, at least I haven't brought out my container since morning. it is well o.
I have learnt a lot from this thread so far, thank you lovely mamas for sharing your experiences with JJCs like us.

Bellaella try and take your prenatals abeg o! Put am inside EBA at least. As for that kpekus urge its from your 2nd trimester that's why its called the "honeymoon trimester" in my own case just putting on my clothes and having it rub against my nipp.le gives me so much arousal! My body became over sensitive that kpekus was like an addiction to me lolz!
I guess not having the urge in first trimester is natures way of protecting our lo from the rigour of sex!

In other news,
My younger sis is 11weeks plus pregnant team September, and she just registered for antenatal today , I'm a mother of two sets of twins BB and BG! Now my sis scan today revealed 3 sacs first in our family history!
My papa no born twins but his mum was a twin supplier! She birthed twins 6 times!! Though during their time they were all killed and my dad became the only son of his mother born much later!(a singleton).
Twins full my lineage no be small and i bless God for His multiple blessings in my family. ( compensating grandma I guess )

Someone lied on me that I was making jest of a colleague who has just had his 4th baby girl. That I said something in the lines of he should marry another wife. I've been in tears all morning to say the least. I'm so angry and the tears won't just stop....

If I said it perhaps I'd just feel bad but the mere thought that someone would cook up such a thing is making me vibrate badly.....
