As for the food, just manage and put something in your tummy. You might try the ice out. More experienced Mamas will give u more options.

chifreke: it all started on 1st August..i was already 41weeks plus 4days..i got so worried and my doc..couldnt even poke me (sweep membrane).
i changedd hospital this on 2nd the doc pocked me....and told me the baby is too high..the baby didnt decend.
after using epo
squat-lung-walk
kpekus my brains out
eat pineapple tire
breast stimulation and warm water massage
waka tire
i went back to hospital on 4th my doc offered to scan...lo and behold the water dried all....i neva leaked....but was told it dried into my system....the last resort Cs, i was booked on 5th.
i got so worry but i believed God..i was wheeled into theatre arround 4pm by 5pm i was out wit a bouncing baby girl 4.8kg
arround 10pm same day...i started bleeding uncontrollable...i was wheeled back to theatre. till 4 am on 6th. God brought me back....family almost loose hope....God kept me....it toook hours to wake me as i was told....God was faithful
i drank blood tire..God is too much!

Oluqueen pls oh be careful with malaria drugs o. If you are having twins my doctor explained that you would have double the morning sickness you would normally have. For triplets its even more. Congrats o. Its not easy

I'm about to be a father in two weeks and I live in New York. For water, you can drink Soda water, get fluids from fruits like water melon, flavor your water (may be adding Ribina to your cup of water) best is drinking Ice Cold water, or suck on Ice. My Wife had the same problem, she hated water when she got pregnant especially warm water. You really need water when you are pregnant for the baby and Doctors her demand you to drink 6 glasses of water or more when you are pregnant. Watch your urine, if it's not light yellow or colorless then you need water. Try to eat healthy, if you can't eat much try to eat small meals because your baby needs the nutrients. Also take precaution to secure your sleeping area to prevent further Malaria

You can take some anti-malaria medicines safely during pregnancy, but should avoid others. For example:

chloroquine and proguanil (usually combined) can be used in pregnancy, but may not offer enough protection against malaria in many regions, including Africa; you will also need to take a 5mg supplement of folic acid if you're taking proguanil (if you're in the first 12 weeks of pregnancy, remember to continue with your usual 400 microgram folic acid supplement after you stop taking the proguanil – while you're taking the 5mg supplement, you don't need to take the 400 micrograms as well)

mefloquine should not be taken during your first trimester (the first 12 weeks of pregnancy)

doxycycline should not be taken at all during pregnancy

atovaquone/proguanil should not be taken at all during pregnancy as there is a lack of evidence that it is safe to use in pregnancy

I got pregnant in june too.. We have the same symptoms, i bled and spotted, no appetite for food and water and i dont vomit too, though i feel like vomiting sometimes..
The only difference is that i get hungry easily, dont know why, and i crave like crazy.. so i always manage to take tea, fruits or anything i feel i can eat at that particular time..
My dh bought honey for me.. Please mamas in the house is honey good for a pregnant woman?? Thanks

@ Oluqueen,a word is enuf for the wise,stay off the meds,your feeling is a result of morng sickness. Try and take juices and liquids often,with time your appetite will improve,hang in there. It is well with you.

Turns out I'm actually preggy. Got my bfp in June too. Spotted and bled for few days but my doc. placed I and LO on primolut for 10days, even though scan/test showed nothing. He was been proactive. To cut a long story short, its now CONFIRMED. 7weeks 6days today. The trad. Midwife was shocked scan didn't pick it at 5weeks+ but my gynea. was hopeful cos my bbt was elevated on the primolut and after stopping it for a few days.

Now, I'm on cyclogest, 400mg twice daily. Due to mc history(thank God for this, mc is now history).

I want to ask if any preggy mom here ever used cyclogest till 12weeks and how was your experience with it?

I used cyclogest 400mg twice daily till 15weeks. My Dr. Adviced I insert tru d back to avoid infection wrn u insert tru d vee. Initially I couldn't use as he said coz I was finding it difficult inserting tru d back. Tru veejaywas quite messy n I had 2 learn. SStore in d fridge n onces its cold (hard. It wil b easy-to-use. If not cold/hard d option will b veejay.
