mamas in the house.. please help a worried mama
I am 39weeks..did a vaginal examination yesterday and the doctor had a very difficult time getting to my cervix. he said consistensy is very firm, cervix is posterior, zero effacement, head engagement still at zero although its lying on the pelvic rim, not an ideal patient for induction..
all these grammer just tire me..what do I do?
walking is out of it cos I don walk tire..

'M home now.scan was done.empty gestational sack.My dh travelled and will be back by weekend.After which we will go to the hosp for the d & C.I hope to recover quick and join this wonderful family soonest.I pray for all expectant mums that you will deliver safely and without any problems.Thanks for your support.

I think you shud wait abit longer, then just do a blood test, to rule out uncertainty with faint lines, God is your strength.

It cud b the hormone from d previous pregnancy or a new preg,I actuali got preg immediateli afta my mc so I'd advice u to wait a lil yl before u test again or get a blood test done n do the blood test again few days later,if d hcg doubles its a new preg...wish u d best dear,may God gv u d one that ll stay kiss

So I lay down and the test begun, but I just shut my eyes refusing to look at the monitor. A whole muintue must have gone before I opened my eyes and stared at the monitor. I saw smthg inside the sac ( as I hv gotten accustomed to wat a sac was) but didn't say anythg until the lady( another lady) said, "Madam ur baby is alive & fine, can hear the heartbeat"!!!
I was over joyed and asked her if she was sure and nnarrated to her my history since last 2wks scan. She smiled and said my baby was alive and healthy!
I kept on saying Thank you Jesus & only paused to call hubby & share the great news!

Congrats ma'am,it shall be permanent by Gods grace

please answer my question o!
besides that first one sef there is a new development. I am having abdominal pains that is extending to my back. the pain is coming and going. I can't sit cos it stays longer when I sit. na to stand b d only remedy. please is it a sign of labor cos this is d first time its happening. no show yet o! it started around 9.50am and its not relieving me

i think as at d tym dis vag examination was done, u were nt yet in labor.All those grammar are signs to show ur baby s ready to cm out. Anything can hapen withib d next couple of days. So just wait to mayb abt 10days after ur date. BTW, wot did ur dr advice?

U see, e don deu start small small.Does d pain feel like menstrual cramp? Try walking arnd. Hope ur bags are packed.If u feel its unbearable u may head to d hsptl esp since dis s ur first tym. Wishing u d best. Pls keep us updated.

Head to d hospital o.U re most likely in labor. Call sm1. Whr do u stay? Is ur hsptl far frm home?

Pls check the timing of the contractions, if it continues to get shorter, more severe and consistent, pls head to the hospital immediately.

Also, if you change position and it gets better, it might be false labour. True contractions do not go away no matter your position. But at 39 weeks, I suspect it's true labour coming.

As gocare advised, do a blood test. Its very possible another bun may be on the way, my friend got pregnant just about 4mths after having a baby,without her period coming back and her baby being EXCLUSIVELY breastfed.
She was so ashamed. grin

@tonneth,
E-hug, I completely get how you are feeling, NVP is not the biz @ all.if the tea is easy for you to keep down,continue with that and try and hide when foor is being cooked if it triggers the nausea.. it will pass.

Pls mamas that have gotten an epidural before...can one get stil get an epidural once labour commence or it has to be before the painful contractions??

My husband and I discussed with his HOD n co workers and I av an appointment with anagelstics on Tuesday...
I hope my baby doesnt decide to pop out before Thursday cos the baby is engaged n d head fixed in the cervix already

Pls,am so scared....never bin dis scared in my entire life

Good morning sabi mamas,how body na? Am 6weeks gone,and i can't seem to keep anything down.any thing i eat,i keep vomiting.the only thing that stays is tea,which i take for taking sake.and i do take pregnacare and folic acid.Am so hungry but,afraid to eat.
