Sorry about the loss of your first pregnancy...

Rhesus incompatibility is a big one....

It’s always safe to do blood grouping and genotype before marriage to avert issues like this..
That being said...


Rh sensitization can occur during pregnancy if you are Rh-negative and pregnant with a developing baby (fetus) who has Rh-positive blood. In most cases, your blood will not mix with your baby's blood until delivery. It takes a while to make antibodies that can affect the baby, so during your first pregnancy, the baby probably would not be affected.

But if you get pregnant again with an Rh-positive baby, the antibodies already in your blood could attack the baby's red blood cells. This can cause the baby to have anemia, jaundice, or more serious problems. This is called Rh disease. The problems will tend to get worse with each Rh-positive pregnancy you have.

If you have Rh-negative blood, your doctor will probably treat you as though the baby's blood is Rh-positive no matter what the father's blood type is, just to be on the safe side. And I guess that’s what your doctor is doing right now..

Blood tests need to be done to know if you are sensitized or not and this is to be repeated at 24 and 28weeks respectively assuming he has done an initial one before he made his statement.

That been said, you might not have a miscarriage but know that baby is very likely to have jaundice and Anaemia post delivery if you are sensitized..

You can have a dose of rhogam given at 28 weeks of pregnancy then immediately after delivery and not later than 48 hours post delivery to be on the safe side.
And know you need to have the rhogam given each time you have a baby or miscarriage..

Your doctor need to do regular blood tests for you and keep you well monitored..

Please ensure you are using a specialist ...

Pray you and your baby are safe and trust in God for all things

Is this the first test or she has done one before that’s was positive.. What was her last menstrual period?

You might want to do a blood pregnancy test in a lab to be sure..

apart frm the blood group test u ran, ur suposed to run an ict test( dats indirect combs test) to knw if the antibodies are reactive or nt, even if its reactive, an experienced doctor can stil manage it...pls dnt overthink yourself, run dat ict test first...am b negative nd my hubby is A positive

Since twins are considered high risk doctors try to birth them early for safety of mother and baby, mother especially.
These days 36 weeks is considered term while to some like my doctor he says 37 weeks is term if the Mother’s life won’t be at risk and you just need observation for a few days by the hospital depending on the doctor, I doubt they’ll put 36 weeks and 6 weeks old into an incubator if it’s not needed.

@Foxie no be like that oooo dont be offended that mamas didnt respond. First you pack the hospital items, body suit 3, sleep suit 3 flannel 3, mittens 3, socks 3 and other items that you will need after delivery like milo, milk, plate cup spoon flask for hot water toilet roll. What i packed was what was in the hospital list and it was 5 baby clothes that has mittens, socks, caps and beep. You can also buy aptamil incase your breast milk no flow immediately so that baby can eat and it depends on the number of days you be at the clinic.

Night gown 3 and good dress you will wear home when you are discharged.

June 3rd last year, I had stillbirth. I decided to wait for a year before trying but prophecy came that the Lord would visit me before October. I thought it was financial breakthrough so I claimed it.
1St wéek in october, when I tested positive, I cried for fear of the unknown because I had 3losses. Again, prophecy came that the Lord would see me through and gave me some warning
At 3months, I had threatened abortion. Scan revealed a viable pregnancy. I was placed on progesterone till 18weeks when bleeding completely stopped while i continued the hospital bedrest till 23weeks and I was discharged and on bedrest at home. Doctor ruled out cerclage that my cervix had closed.
Ff to this week being week 39, mild Contraction started around quarter to 8, I thought it to be 1st stage of labour. I rushed out to buy Akara and shared among the beggars which I was instructed to do this morning. I came back home at 10 past 8AM. I was praying through each contraction...

BS conclusion:
I was praying through each contraction, confessing God's promises. When the contraction was consistent, I told hubby to carry bag to head to hospital. Just then, mil, who was a retired midwife came in. While I was being helped to the door, water broke and I was having urge to push and feeling something between. I was returned back to bed, hubby called doctor and a nurse was sent. (hospital was 10 minutes drive away).
Mil took the delivery before nurse came.
Baby came out at past 9am after a push. Baby weighed 3.5 with no tear. While I didnt have any s*x during this pregnancy, God made a way.
I bless God for this blessing. I was calculating this labour by my previous birth that lasted 36hours but God made this easy for me..

May God visit gtc mothers and easy delivery to everyone.

Shoutout to March2018 and August2018 teams. The Lord has wiped away my tears.
