I don't think the reason you are been kept their is because of the jaundice but your baby's weight as I think the Drs still need to monitor your baby and certify him okay before you can be able to take baby home and pls note that is not all hospital that have good equipment to handle preterm babies.
I know it is not easy but always work with your Dr and ask question for them to explain things that you don't understand.

Trust you and baby are doing fine, as it has been pointed out by some mamas, weight is a major factor, good that he is eating well. My friend had a preterm baby in a government hospital and they didn't release them until baby was 2kg and the hospital kept monitoring the weight in their subsequent check ups.

Trusting God for the jaundice to clear and it shall surely be so, Amen. My DD2 also had jaundice at birth so I can relate.
It is well with baby and you shall soon go home with him, Amen.

Getting ds to sit and focus is not an easy job, altho he's always enthusiastic when he sees me bring his book and keeps disturbing me when he wants to write.
But I must say it's not easy, I try sooo hard not to spank him cause atimes it seems like hes just tempting me.. lol

You should find out from them if it's just weight
Cause a friend had her baby preterm in a general hospital and the baby weighed 2kg. The doctor specifically said if the baby had weighed less they would have stayed longer in the hospital as the baby will have to stay in the incubator.
Just be sure b4 you insist on being discharged.

I also had subchorionic hematoma. Its more like blood in the uterus, between the uterine wall and the gestational sac.It happens to some women and the body reaborbs it before second trimester. Mine was discovered at 7weeks too, although I bled at two different instances(dark red blood). My doctor placed me on bedrest and oral progesterone till I crossed 15weeks, plus no sex, no bending or lifting heavy objects. My body reabsorbed the blood at about 15weeks and I am currently 33weeks gone.
Pls see a very good gynae and pray, have faith nothing will happen to your baby.

I don’t think it is something to worry about.Had same in in my second pregnancy and it cleared on its own.
Read it causes bleeding in early trimester though.

You can discuss with your doctor.

You're really doing a great job as a parent and a teacher. A very big thumbs up to you. I am not bleeding, it was only noticed when I went for scan

I don't know the cost because i used HMO.
The Hospital is good and they have professional hands, used them for my first baby.
I just changed to Isalu in Ogba..not so far from Ojodu area..equally fantastic!

LMP is the most reliable.. Scan usually goes with the weight of the baby.

Go with your LMP dear. It's the most reliable. Scan will give you date according to baby's measurements/ weight. I have 3 different Edds from 3 different scans. The first one I did around 9 weeks gave me 14 August, the second around 17wks gave me 22 which is the same as my LMP. I did the third scan at 28wks and I got 1st of August as my EDD. Isn't that amazing? Relax, baby will come at God's appointed time. Just make sure your bag is ready by 1st of August.

You should be taking your drugs o. It's for the well-being of the baby. If you're not comfortable with the one you're using, complain to your doctor, another type will be prescribed for you.
