I was hoping to port to May when I started seeing discharge at 37 weeks,it continued and stopped at 39 weeks with on and off contractions. I went to the hospital and was checked but was told my cervix was closed.The pain continued till 40 weeks,my doctor said if by 41 weeks I didn't fall into serious labour that he will induce me.I was hoping for a serious contraction but it was the same on and off,I rushed to the hospital one morning when the pain was severe only for the nurse to check and said I'm 2cm gone that I should go and come back, I got home and the contractions stopped again.At 41 weeks,my hubby followed me to see the doctor, the doctor said I should book for CS but if i wish to,I can try that he will induce,I left his office dejected,I was admitted the next day,he did cervical ripening for me and blood started gushing out,I was told to endure and let the balloon fall off,when the balloon fell off,I was already at 6cm.I was placed on drip and induction started,a nurse forcefully burst the water bag claiming that the baby will come fast,but for good 24 hours,I was in 6cm and groaning in pains,baby too struggling to come outside, different nurses and doctors kept on coming to check if I've exceeded 6cm,my private part became swollen cox of too much fingers and instruments entering it,when the induction was 38 hours,I started feeling dizzy,like my soul will soon depart,my baby heartbeat was beating fast,I started shouting that I will soon faint,they started running around, was placed on oxygen for six hours,I told the doctor i don't want to try again,that I will do CS. I was given a form to sign and was prepared for theatre.I was already weak cox immediately the nurse bursted the water bag the previous day,water and blood kept on gushing out of my private part.They had to fixed two drips for me inside the theatre so they can get a visible vein for injection. Within twenty minutes, I was cut and my sonshine was brought out,I was shown my baby and my joy knew no bound.I thank God for his faithfulness over my life and family,the Lord that didn't allow my nine months journey to end in vain.Tho I'm still nursing the pains till date,I appreciate God cox I know with time,I will recuperate. I appreciate my June Cappo and team members, you're all wonderful. Safe delivery to the remaining pregnant mums.

How dare we leave you for junction now? The backache that has been dealing with me for some days now ehn is not funny at all..wondering how labour will now be and I'm seriously begging this boy to come but its like he's still enjoying in there.
We all shall have course to rejoice in Jesus name.

Amen. Ah fear catch me nah my sister as everywhere just calm, you know anyone in labour dey hot seat. For that labour pain just tell yourself say I know it's painful but I can do it.

Thanks Cappo. Am doing great. My pcv is still a bit low , with all the blood tonic. I don't know what's draining my blood o.
Next month is August

Teamie, I had low PCV too but its boosted now, it was rising 4% to 5% every 2weeks. These are the things I did in addition to my Prenatal
1. Added Liver to my Diet. Easier recipe for me: I slice, add seasoning, onions and pan/pot fry in butter. Gets done in minutes and tastes divine. Well I liked Liver even before pregnancy.

2. Started taking Beetroot Juice mixed with any Fruit / Veggie juice of Choice (them Chivita, Five Alive Juices etc). I peel the Beetroot, wash well with drinking water, cut into pieces, blend with drinking water, sieve out the chaff, sweeten it with juice, put inside bottle, chill inside fridge/freezer and enjoy.

3. The Drug "Astyfer" (My Dr recommended) The Syrup always gave me Heartburn so I changed to the Capsule. Still gives me Heartburn but not as much. I take this with Vit C rich Juice or My homemade Beetroot juice if available.

4. Asytymin Multivit (My Dr recommended): I also started taking this too as prescribed by my Dr.

5. Once in a week, I try to cook something with Ugu Leaves (Pumpkin Leaves). Usually like N100 Ugu.

PS: I learned Ugu Juice mixed with Malt or Milk works but mehn, not for me. Tried it, didn't like the taste plus the stress of juicing the Ugu.

Also make sure you're taking your Iron drugs with something rich in Vit C like a Juice. Vit C helps with proper Iron Absorption.

Refrain from taking Dairy (Milk), Calcium or Folic acid with your Iron drugs. They work again each others Absorption. Take your Iron, wait for minimum of 2hours before taking your Prenatal or Vice Versa.

Congratulations! I'm so excited. Waiting for my own Twin Sons too. Vaginal or CS? How long was your wife's hospital stay? Mine will be via Elective CS so just curious especially hospital stay duration. Take care of yourself and everyone Sir. You're Blessed.

After d birth of my second daughter DH said he is done with child bearing that he wants to focus on given them the best, I was like Hmmm in my mind am still going on this journey one more time this was in 2017.
Fast forward to 2020, I began to try allto make DH see the reason for having another child who might be a boy he refused. Note he is an only son in most of 3girls. Tried all trick and style during kpekus but my guy was more careful than a girl who is already having sex but been careful of getting pregnant, I even started taking folic acid and I even bought Clomid hoping that anytime he get carried away something might happen. But guy man dey shine eye very well so I gave up and accepted my Faith with having only 2 beautiful princess.
All of a sudden around June last year he told me that we should trying having another baby once more I was so happy and agreed immediately. July nothing happen, sept came and I passed my suppose date for menses I was so happy and on the last Sunday of Sept I went to the beach with some friends only for that unwanted visitor to show its face I was so disappointed for I was already planning on doing pregnancy test the next day.
October came and I missed my period I was so happy I sent a message to DH with this word sharp shooter he immediately called me and was happy

Good morning Able Mama's, I went for Anatomy scan on Monday doctor said everything is fine. But the scan shows am 21 weeks 5days and Edd is now 3rd Nov. While LMP is saying am 20weeks 3days and edd is 13th Nov. Which one sud I stick to?cos am in doubt right now.

LMP and early scans are more accurate for EDD than the Anatomy Scand and Scand done in later part of Pregnancy. The objectuve of the Anatomy scan is to check Baby/Babies body parts and organs and ensure everything is fine. Every other thing they check and add in the report is jara.

Also note that as your pregnancy progresses, your babies might be big or add weight more and based on their body measurements, your EDD will change on the scan report. Mine kept changing up and down, I was getting Scans every 2weeks and now weekly in my Drs office because of my high risk factor. All my Dr focuses on is that they're doing well.

Cost of Anatomy scan differs depending on the Scan House, Location etc. I did mine at Afriglobal Ikeja Lagos for N15k another Mama here did hers at one hospital on the Island for N25k. It is done in Black and White.

Please note that the Anatomy scan is different from the regular pregnancy scan. Regular Pregnancy scan at Afriglobal Ikeja is N3,500. At one of my Hospitals is N2k. Some Mamas here also said theirs is N1k to N1,500 so it really depends.

Any Brand is fine. 5mg. I've been using the Vitabiotics Dr Meyers Brand (Red and White Bottle) that they sell like N200 / N300 Naira for a small bottle that contains 100 Tablets, okay by my Dr, My Babies are doing very well, no issues from 20weeks Anatomy Scan too. We're currently in the 3rd Trimester, due in August.

Amen.Infact,the doctor kept on warning her not to burst the water,she said she will.Baby was inside me for 38 hours without water,she came back and inserted her whole right hand inside me that she will open the cervix and fix the baby's head.I started screaming that she should not,I was scared.What if she forcefully detach the head from the main body.End time nurses.

They are quietly borning

Part 2 pregnancy journey.
Fast forward to Nov, I rushed to do a scan and the sonographer said it too early to tell my Edd and sex that I should come back after a month time.
Around March i went to LIMH to register for antenatal I was ask to do a scanwhich I did and the sonographer left the space for baby sex for I didn't know I was supposed to request that he filled that part I just concluded that God wants to surprise us.
Also the doctor told me that since I have done 2 previous CS that this one will be through CS too I said no problem.
Fast forward to Wednesday 9 of June I went to antenatal as usual during my interaction with the doc. I mention that I don't see the baby movement like I use to, he did another check on my stomach after that he looked at my file and then called the senior doctor after10 mins or there about the senior doc came, then the other doc told him of my complain he told looked at my file and he then perform another check on my stomach, the senior then turn to me and said I have two weeks to my Edd but since I have complain of reduce foetus movement and since it will be through CS I will birth My baby that he is going to schedule me for an emergency C-section that day, that reduce foetus movement is something I should not joke about that most mother lose their LO as a result of not acting when they notice a reduce of movement of their unborn baby. I was so surprised as I was expecting the doc to say I should go for a scan and not all this grammar him and his colleague were saying to me for am not ready for the CS yet, in my head I was like (hubby is not in town my other two kids are in school my family are not in Lagos, for I had earlier plan with my mum to a week to the CS my house is in a mess.) I have not put things in place o. I tried to talk them into reschedule for next week they refuse not knowing they have already started preparing for me in the ER I was referred to the ER I told the doctor there that I can't do the operation that day that I will come back early the next morning for it, I was made to sign a form that am leaving against doctor advise.
On my way from the hospital I called hubby to fly back home from wherever he is I also called my mom and told her to move her coming to Saturday, I was supposed to do my last shopping before on my way home but I left it and went home

Hello teamie. I have been hiding cos mehn, I didn't plan coming back to pregnancy tread so soon. As withdrawal method don fail me, I'm now on my third missionary journey with a one year old tagging along.

It is well o. Mine is sleep wants to embarrass me everywhere. I also get dizzy but it doesn't last. And my love for carbohydrates now no be here. I can eat rice straight for a week and still not get tired. Something I was curtailing before now.

I pray for a smooth journey for all of us in Jesus name, amen.

Part 3 the deal day

On getting home I met hubby there he told me that he was just not comfortable in Abuja so he had earlier booked a flight back to Lagos that day that he was already close to the house when I called him, I told him everything that transpired at the hospital he was just looking at me with fear in his eyes he then said a word of prayer and drove down to pick the kids from school, I cleaned and arrange the house, arrange what the kids will wear from Thursday to Sunday. We both did not sleep all through the night and around 4.am I went to the kitchen prepare what the kids will eat take to school and dinner also with a note on them I also put my house key on my daughter bag and took them to a friend that usually take them to school.
I and hubby then prepare and headed to the hospital I was checked again and placed under observation till around 6pm when the CS was done and I was Show my third beautiful princess. After the section I started feeling cold as in serious cold I have not felt before the doc said it normal for it an injection they gave me that is causing the cold after like 30mins my body temperature came back to normal a nurse came to check me and notice I was bleeding that is how the doc came and started pressing my stomach, the pain I felt this time was so serious that I almost brought the hospital down with my voice.
Very early the next day around 4:30am a nurse came and said I should sit down brush my teeth and clean my body myself, I was so surprised because I was expecting her to assist me in doing all that for the next few days, I was about to complain and then she said I should try and do it myself that I will be surprise to see that I can that she will only assist if I cannot and to my surprise I was able do all that and even walk around the room.

Pls bear with my write up and long post for my L O is on one hand and my phone is on the other hand

Good evening Mamas, I got my BFP 2days ago but early this morning around 3am, I felt some wetness when I woke up to pee. I wiped and saw a pink blood mixed with CM, but I wasn't cramping or in any pain.
Since then nothing when I wiped till some minutes ago and this time it was bright red, no cramp or discomfort.

I'm 5weeks+4days, please is this normal or should I be worried?? Cos I'm freaking out already

Tinudesi, that vigil ehn, I am lucky o we only wake up to feed twice to four times.
My boy now weighs 6.4kg. I don't know if it's low or normal, I am not bothered anyway so far he is looking healthy.
