Re: Yoruba Man, Hausa Man, But No Biafran On Forbes List. . . Another way of looking at it, is that Igbos and the South South peeps are being marginalised in Nigeria. PS. the FG should allocate me a couple of oil wells and see if my name wouldn't be in that list in five years. |

Re: Yoruba Man, Hausa Man, But No Biafran, On Forbes List. . . by ACM10: 4:01pm On Mar 08, 2012 |
It all comes down to marginalisation. When Obasanjo unjustly bans Ibeto's cement, rice etc to give way for Dangote's ascendance, what do u expect? Mind you that Biafrans are not close to the corridors of power and all the government policies over the yrs has been harsh to them. But, individually, we are not doing badly compared to other ethnic nationalities. Now tell me how many Chinese are in that list? Does that mean that Indian or Nigerian economy is performing better than that of Chinese? 1 Like |

Thought the list had Otedola and Aliko. Didnt know its Adenuga. I understand they tried assessing Adenuga's wealth lst year but they could only scratch the surface. Aliko's is easy because he has quoted stocks |

Simple way to look at it is that these two cornered all oil blocks after winning the war. It is all about the civil war; but I thank God that the Ijaw are beginning to ask some hard questions. Let's wait for about 5 more years when Anambra oil would be fully pumping (and Ijaw take back some of their oil blocks), then we can recalculate. |

All these fools shouting "No Igbo person in forbes list" are your names in the list? I don't know about Hausa and Yoruba oooooooooh, but in Igbo land we do not celebrate other peoples wealth. I now understand why there are beggars all over Hausa and Yoruba lands. |

pazienza: You are full of excuses. During Abacha regime when Yoruba was marginalized, what was Igbo doing? You ppl were kissing Abacha's arse. Orji Kalu got blocs from the military. The Ubas got from Obasanjo. |

I curse lord luggard for ever putting me together with such people.TUFIAKWA. We igbos, would rather help our brother out than hoard money to appear on a stupid list. |

lagcity: ^^^You care to provide fact/figures to show Abacha favoured Igbos over and above Yorubas (in appointments; Oyel blocks; award of contracts; sighting of contracts; road construction; education sector; health sector; etc)? Or you just feel you can post any conjectural cr.ap in furtherance of your pointless online battle against the much loved Igbos? |
Re: Yoruba Man, Hausa Man, But No Biafran, On Forbes List. . . by lagcity(m): 2:41am On Mar 09, 2012 |
PROUD-IGBO: I need to provide facts/figures that Abacha hated Yoruba? Really? Yoruba was out of the picture, so the PTF cake was left for Hausa and Igbo. I hope u r not just another diasporean who left naija during the 80s . Dude, you've lost touch completely. Orji Kalu was mad at OBJ for taking back the oil license that the Military gave to him. What abt that Kanu (daniel kanu or something like that) efulefu who campaigned for Abacha's transition. |

Its because of the war! why is a Niger deltan name not there too? or is Igbo the only tribe in Nigeria? remember Igbos have been put to back sit after the war, hausas and yorubas that won the war is reaping the good things in it. but anyway Igbos arent doing bad atleast you hardly see one begging cos we forgot about the past and moved on, God wil continue helping his people. |
