Nigeria's problem is not the president or the people or even the terrorists. The problem is the culture; we have a culture of corruption, ineptitude, selfishness, unemployment, lack of decent infrastructure, lack of loyalty. No matter how many times we change the regime, progress will continue to elude us until we change the culture to one of corporation, love, and social service. We need to curb the selfishness and become more magnanimous towards out fellow countrymen, immigrants and the country as a whole. We need a better educational system, for example we need to stress social education more, we need to teach the children their rights according to the constitution, and more importantly that their society is an interconnected web which relies on input from every member to function properly. You know that the system is bad when a senator has fourteen cars while a fourteen year old doesn't have shoes to wear to school, where a four year old has to sell "pure water" to help support the family.
