I developed an application(for bixolon printer 350plus, use their printerclassdll.dll) which works fine on any 32bit machine. On trying it on 64bit machine it displays
Retrieving the COM class factory for component with CLSID {587CCA26-D3FA-402C-B5A0-259DF7E96D55} failed due to the following error: 80040154.
After registering it manually which says successfully by the following steps

Run command prompt as Administrator
Change the directory bu using following commands :


For Windows Vista 64-bit: cd C:\windows\SysWow64


Type the following command and hit Enter:

regsvr32 PrinterClassDll.dll enter

It still doesn't work.
Please assist me, it is very urgent.

either you are the same dude who has been trying to solve this problem since august 2011 and is posting it here for resolution OR you simply want to test to see if anyone has a solution?

Spent sometime dealing with a similar ASP.Net error at work (error 8007005). These ASP.Net errors can be deeply irritating with verbose/obtuse explanations.

You cannot call 32bit COM objects in 64bit processes that is why you are getting the error even after registering.
Either wrap your object or recompile the app that is calling it as 32bit (easier).

Anyways, when I said "wrapper," I meant an out of process COM component.
