I am proud of her and what she represents to millions of black women. If she does attain this position at the World Bank, just think of the impact this would have on not only Nigerian young women, but millions of black women that reside in Africa and in the diaspora. When I finally settle down and have children with my future wife, I can show my daughters that black women are able to accomplish many feats.

That is why it matters if Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala becomes the president of the World Bank, because of the SYMBOLISM she would represent. This goes way beyond, her actual responsibilities if she is chosen to become the president of that international organization.

All my life I have lived to appreciate good things and wonderful people and not Nigerian leaders who hide under the atmosphere of holiness to operate. I don't buy your idea of handworking and good profile, if I'd appreciate people who are hardworking, I will appreciate little kids who hawk in traffic to make both ends meet rather than some useless Nigerian leaders. On the other hand, if I'd appreciate people with good profile, I think I will appreciate some wonderful men of God across the world. Technically, she has only been back about 8 months. Granted the revelations of how out of touch our so-called ministers are with the condition of living for average Nigerians, I think she still has some time to turn things around.
