Has this ever happened to you when you were outside of Africa?

It hasn't happened to me but one of my friends got stopped and searched for drugs in America because he was black. Had he had drugs then he would have gotten into trouble. The police had no right to search him anyway. Cops state at me a ot when i am walking with my black male friends and they ask me for my ID sometimes when I walk around abroad but besides that not really.

It's hard to be black man anywhere. The world hates us.

You need courage, strength, will power etc etc to be a black man.

It was 3am and he was waiting on the street. He was waiting for his other friends so he could go. Then the cops came and harassed him. White people can sell all they want and get away but blacks get in trouble just for walking around.

Funny thing is, the UK where this happened is safer for a black man than Nigeria.
I don't mean to sound negative, but we've got to begin standing on our legs and stop propping up shiit. I have only ever been at gunpoint in Nigeria (many times); you go to certain parts and there is someone waiting to blow you up, because you are Christian or Muslim; you lose out in life, because you are neither Hausa, Yoruba, Igbo, Gwari or whatever; you get on a place like NL and freely receive ethnically bigotted insults that would send anyone in the white World to jail for a long time.

I know we are not animals, but sometimes, one is forced to wonder.

The articles we post on NL about racism just seem like tokenistic, silly attempts to play to the gallery. Just look at the behaviour right here on NL and conclude.
If Fabrice Muamba had dropped stone cold dead on a Nigerian football field, what reaction would it have elicited from medical teams and the public? Would a doctor (a white man) climb over the railings from the stands and run across the field to help free of charge?

Deeper and much more troubling questions should echo through the mind of each and every right-thinking Nigerian reading this post.
