Bsc Nursing? by philoe: 3:15pm On Apr 05, 2012 |
Hello guys, advice needed. I am a Nigerian and also a naturalized citizen of the United Kingdom who is presently employed in the UK. My salary in my present job is about 25,000/ year (before tax). However, I don't have much job satisfaction in my present employment. I recently applied to study mental nursing in one of the UK universities and have been offered a place. My question is this; Do you (especially those in similar professions) think it's worth spending 2.5 years in the Uni for this program? Should I leave my present employment in pursuit another degree? Note: This program is fully funded by the NHS and I qualify to receive monthly stipends which is a far cry from the amount I earn at the moment. |

Have you checked if possible for you to do the program on a part time basis, while you work full time? |

Problem is that to qualify for stipend, I have got to study full time. The course is evenly split between time in the classroom and the hospital hence, intensive. I have asked that my entry be deferred to September next year to enable me save up from my present employment and make up my mind. However, it doesn't appear that making a decision is going to be an easy task. |

That is a tough one, then, better for you to do the schooling full time and find a part time job to make up for the financing of the program that will be be covered by the stipend |
