It appears that the former Ogun State Governor Gbenga Daniel will be returning to legal trenches soon, following the permission granted to the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC by the state Chief Judge’s, Justice Olopade on the 30th of March, 2012.
According to the spokesman for the commission, Mr. Wilson Uwujaren, the Chief Judge has granted the request of the EFCC to re-arraign the former governor of Ogun State, Governor Gbenga Daniel on a 38 counts of abuse of office and misappropriation of public fund.
The EFCC further stated that with the consent given by the state chief judge, Daniel would be arraigned before Justice Mabekoje on April 16 in Abeokuta on the 38-count.
The former Governor, Daniel, who was first arraigned by the EFCC in October, 2011, received a temporary pardon in February, 2012 when a High Court sitting in Abeokuta, the state capital, discharged and acquitted him of the money laundering charges filed against him.
The court dismissed the charges saying “the EFCC committed a fundamental error for not seeking the leave of the court before filling the charges containing the indictable offenses.”

this is not new to Nigerians at all. We all know that after the whole saga, Daniel will still be discharged. No be today water don dey for coconut.

The judge handling Mr. Akingbola's case rightly informed the whole world that the EFCC lawyers (SAN's) deliberately stalled the case of Mr. Akingbola cos they were most likely "hand shaked" by Akingbola himself. Many of the Snr. Advocate's lack credibility (besides na sansan full dm brain), and are not very knowledgeable in legal act.
Gbenga Daniels should know how to deal with d EFCC. As far as i m concerned d commission should be scrapped or should be given powers like d American IRS.

Finaly Season 2 of Mr. Gbenga Daniel issue is out, have been expecting this since.

Since una don turn this case to seasonal film we go watch am. We are expecting more, rubbish.

I think its time the media stops some parts in their news

i am watching the mess that our legal system is creating. we need 2 employ the services of compitent legal practitioners or we are heading towards serious trouble. It appears that the law in Nigeria is only applicable to the poor massed.
