I think the most marginalised people in Nigeria are the Gwari people in Abuja.
They were forced out of their ancestral land and turned to raod sweepers and derided
in the Abuja.
They are constantly pushed further out of the city as Abuja expands daily.
Job quotas of Abuja are filled by "chukwumas & Babalolas" and you see outsiders
grabbing political offices in the capital city.
In fact, everything that indigenes enjoy in the 36 states, others shove aside Gwari
people in Abuja and enjoy.
Whenever anybody cries marginalisation, think Gwari people in Abuja

Poor people in villages who lack access to basic things like water, education, and food etc. Are you aware that poor folks are paying over N130 per litre on Kerosene and have not protested?

If you havent produce a president, you are marginalized.

And yet the people that produced the presidency of Nigeria for years now are the beggars of Nigeria (both region) therefore what use is the presidency? You can have that sh1t.

The most obvious and negative pattern of marginalization is that of our leaders oppressing and suppressing the masses.
Like someone rightly observed, the masses are still defending them.

Everyone is marginalized to a certain extent with some more than others.

Truth is I have seen more Northern millionaires than the whole other sub regions put together, yet their people also rank among the poorest disadvantaged people nor does producing a political appointee from your region makes any difference either.
Re: Who Are The Marginalized People In Nigeria? by bilms(m): 3:22pm On Apr 11, 2012
that is the marginalization

It's so funny but rather disturbing that some pple still talk about regional system of power distribution as d cause of or solution to d problem dis country n it's citizens is facing.

It's a well known fact even to a kid of 2yrs that this country has been ruled over more by the Northerners than anyother part or region of d country.

It's also a well known fact that 98% of d beggars u'll find on the streets of Lagos today also come from these regions that have produced more Presidents or head of state than its counterpart regions. So Logically, if it does matter that the region from which the president emerges have some special benefits. Then by every means I think people from the south east/west part of d country should be fleeing to d northern part to do what the northerners do here in Lagos which includes (Begging, nails cutting, working as guard men/ Gate men, truck pushing, shoe making, mending, or cobler or waeva u call it, heavy lifting @ mile12 n other busy markets all over Lagos, digging n parking ur soak aways. just to name a few). Maybe those are d benefits of producing d president. Rite?

We've always failed to tackle what the real problem is by being self centered , bias minded and some pple will like to add Ignorance to d list wc I like to call (Stupidity born of Foolishness). We choose our leaders based on Religious belief or Ethnicity or Party. Where all should be fully substituted for Potentials as d major characteristic for choosing our leaders n President #BigShame#

Come to think of it, Every region or state has it's own Leaders, Governors, Senators, House of Reps, LG Chairmen. Whom we will often refer to as our brothers, Sisters, Sons or Daughter cos dey are of our own ethnic group or tribe n Whereby their sole duties is to serve us relentlessly.

Let's pretend d FG is not doing well enough for the state n Only manage to handover a few billions of naira to d state Governors n Reps for certain projects to help make life better for its people. How well do ur/ our so called brothers (Governors/ Reps) handle d money that belongs to our entire state n local governments. Do dey not divert most of it for their own personal use. Otherwise Nigeria will not be good enough a country to live in but will definitely not be dis worse a country to live in.

We want to fight Marginalization, we want to fight Corruption bla bla bla... when we should be fighting the biggest of dem all "IGNORANCE n COWARDNESS". Solve these two n c if Nigeria won't move forward. Leave them n c if Nigeria gets BETTER or WORSE in d next 100 - 200 yrs.

Did I forget to ask what positive influence Baba Iyabo have on d Yorubas or Ogun state wc by every means ought to be d best state in d country? That is if we are still talking about marginalization

#Grow Up peeps#

egift: Any community in this country that is not developed is Marginalized.

Nigerians should seek development in their communities, than fighting to enter Aso Rock. Since Jonathan enter what have Bayelsa gotten (no bi Church, imposition of Governor and Subsidy Removal suffering - what else?).

I think the people of Bayelsa are the ones that are magimalise at the moment. The funniest thing is that, they are been maginalised by there own brother Gej. Imagine this, they produce the oil and they pay as much as 300 per litter to buy the same oil. Anyways, good for them.
Re: Who Are The Marginalized People In Nigeria? by bilms(m): 10:57am On Apr 12, 2012
we would continue to mention the marginalized people, yet there would be no solution to the marginalization. I think we should all learn to understand that we are all marginalized by the ruling class in our various locations, so lets stand together and fight for a common goal. POSITIVE CHANGE and development
