In terms of offence he has power and hand speed plus he knows how to control tempo and switch styles from boxing to brawling as the fight dictates.

In terms of defence he has good head movement, weaving speed, and a very underrated chin. That his solid neck is also helpful no doubt.

Meaning unless you possess Tommy Hearns/Jackson/Mugabi/Hagler kind of power he will walk you down and inflict pain on you.

Golovkin gave him problems for those same reasons. Golovkin has arguably greater power and definitely has a tougher chin.
