The biggest mistake the Igbos made post the civil-war was actually assimilating back into Nigeria especially Lagos, instead of staying put and continuing to develop their region in that spirit of Biafra, if not in the name.

Now the financial elite are all tied to Lagos. The political elite are tied to Abuja. Even if there's grassroot support for the movement, the people who can actually fund the Biafra cause and effect this change have no incentive to do so.
