I’ve being looking closely at Kai and it’s painful to see that the boy lacks two of the most vital traits a No9 should possess - quickness and speed.

He has a great first touch, neither is his holdup play bad, but then, the lack of Speed which should see him outrun defenders and win a 50/50 ball and the quickness to get past defenders will always see him falter.

This isn’t 1998 when Kanu Nwankwo can comfortably spearhead attack and still go home with the ball after the game.

Kai Havertz is not slow! Speed is certainly not his problem! He may have flaws, but flat out pace ain't one of them.
