Guess there is another disagreement between Napoli and osimhen again.

Egbon, you are obviously desperate to score a cheap point where none exists. Simply because your highly rated Jackson has started to cost us points with his cluelessness in front of goal and you know the impending .

Meanwhile, did you hit at Haaland when he managed only 1 goal in his first 4 Epl matches for City? Haaland later won the Epl golden boot, player of the season award, despite having a poor first 4 games.

Don't you think people should have learnt from Haaland's case and not jump into conclusion after the first 3/4 matches of a striker in a new club?

Baba, you are showing your hand too early o. grin

Looking at the emboldened, You've echoed this more than twice and I'm genuinely curious. May be there's something I'm missing.

This is Haaland's third season in the EPL (2024/2025)

This is what he did in his first season(2022/2023) in the EPL.

First game Vs Westham.................2 goals
Second game Vs Bournemouth....0 goal
Third game Vs Newcastle...............1 goal
Fourth game Vs Palace....................3 Goals

Total 6 goals. So in first 4 EPL games, Haaland scored 6 goals not 1.

I actually had to check the stats again but like I said may be there's something I'm missing!

Don't blame the agent for hyping his client.

Loan offer with drastic reduction in wages wasn't good for a striker getting to his prime.

Simple

In his prime?

If Barcelona came for him at any time, he might accept or not; it's the player's choice to take a pay cut. Stop making pay cuts a big deal; players often do it to play for their desired clubs.

A pay cut often happens when a player is forcing a move to another club or is uncomfortable with his present club and desires to move elsewhere.

Osimhen was forcing a move to his desired club but refused to lower his salary, that's on him, Chelsea did their best.

That is why i am asking if football is a side hustle for him.

You want money, you do anything to pursue it.

You want playtime, you do anything to pursue it.

How can a player who is in his prime choose to train alone for the next 6 months, just because he wants the same salary?

Dey play.

When your salary can buy one or two rental properties per week to set up the rest of your life, nobody will tell you to maintain your salary

This thing called football is just one aspect of their life.

Ivan Toney has been earning £20k per week for his time in EPL. After tax that's only £500k per year. Last year they increased it to £38k per week which is still only £1m after tax. Ivan even if he is prudent (and not a degenerate gambler, which he is) can only have assets worth about £2m at this stage. That can never take him through the rest of his life. So Saudi comes calling with £400k after tax which is £20m per year after tax at the age of 29, he will be stupid not to set himself up. Nobody wants to be looking for commentator job like Jermaine Jenas after football

There's no first grade abi world class player in his prime who took a pay cut to join any club. Not even their boyhood club. None!!!

Oshinmehn and his agent messed up big time but no need to rewrite history!

You can never erase that in history, can you? OK, how about 2020? Why did you skip Raumdeuter's post?

Since we are now talking about history,Arsenal conceded 28goals in Epl 1994 and scored 53 but finished 4th. Man united the league winner in that season conceded 38goals and scored 80goals.

Which of them?

I'll not allow you shift the post this early. We are not comparing number of titles won.

Can defence win you title? That's the subject under discussion. Stay on track.

Attack wins you more and that's why real madrid has thr most.

You done see am

Jermaine Jenas never collected more than £1m salary per year after tax and that was 10 years ago

I read he's only living in £1m house while youth players of these days are living in £2.5m house.

Why won't he beg for his £190k per year BBC job

Life is tough after football. If you looseguard, you will be begging upandan for job if care is not taken.

It takes at least £10m in revenue generating assets for many of these players to maintain a modest lifestyle after football. For some of them, they need £20m plus cos they got used to certain lifestyle.

Painful to watch Enzo yesterday.

So many deficiencies about Enzo games. There was this moment in the game that i remember vividly well where he tried to control simple ball and had the ball moving distance from him. Similar to Jorginho's control that gifted Sancho the ball at the bridge some seasons ago.

It's not different, bro

Chelsea increased palmer wages and about to increase Jackson own based on performances. Chelsea offered Osimhen several bonuses to convince him but he refused.

See ridiculous offer below 👇
Yes it is, lewadowski one was fixed every season unlike ours with performance bonuses, you can ask andrewbaba or gbilishi gbunter, gala are also paying him his full salary.

I won't rate them based on their first 4 matches in a new league. Sound analysts don't do that especially for players we know their stats last season.

When can we start rating Sesko that didn't go to a new league

No no. Chelsea offered him £68k net, which comes close to about the reported £150/week gross basic. Then on top of that, performance-based bonuses up to £120k/week.

Address the issue baba. If we had bought Dovbyk and Guirassy like you opined, there is a possibility they have not scored a goal or had an assist in 3 games, but you are talking about Jackson with 3GA already costing us points.

I was expecting an emphatic Yes, so that I can ask Rol.and17 and other Arsenal fans to come and pass a vote of confidence.

Havertz was lazy but he has goal sense more than Jackson. Both are not Chelsea's standard though.
Havertz getting this little praise is because is no longer in Chelsea. I assure you, if both Havertz and Jackson were in Chelsea, you might have preferred Jackson.

Shey taxes no dey turkey, abi nah only England people pay taxes. Lol

"My client can't go loan and later go loan"

Everybody is just focused on the pay cut Chelsea offered but forgets that Chelsea first proposed a loan, which would involve Chelsea and napoli sharing his current salary or Chelsea even covering the whole salary like Galatasaray did.

You no want paycut and still didn't give greenlight in Saudi offer. Ajeh, me go accept Saudi offer sharply with even thinking twice.

He is the weak link in this team at the moment. He can’t pass when presented with counter play. He is the reason we drew crystal palace but people are not seeing it yet.

We can't say as they are not here at Chelsea with Palmer and others giving them sumptuous passes on a plate. We could only see Jackson missing most.
