I thought we had a lot of possession play and penetration was good many times. We could be a lot more cohesive at this point and sharper in attack but it is what it is if we have to play Mikel and Moses. Perhaps a better idea would be Musa, Iheancho and Ighalo in a front 3.

I see the tactical benefit to Iwobi deep and Mikel further forward. Iwobi's recovery play is much swifter than Mikel's, during defense. And Iwobi showed that a few times. Again, this is to the detriment of the attack but hey.

I think it depends on individual's pre-assessment of how good we are in the first place. A lot of people are thinking "this is our year" and expectations are through the roof. Perhaps it good to enter the competition being humble.

No need for Iwobi to play deep, this is something Ndidi can do easily. Mikel can be his usual self, whatever that is.
Personally, I had no "pre-assessment" of how good we are or some "this is our year" expectations. None actually. But what I saw last night was ridiculous. Its been a while I saw a team playing without direction or purpose and there was nothing impressive about it.
As someone said before, maybe the idea is to use confusion confuse our opponents.

The issue is deeper than that. If everybody is waiting for somebody else to speak out first no one will speak out.
It does not matter who addresses the issue first, what matters is that it is addressed at the right time.
I have many friends who schooled and worked in Russia and i know if this matter is not addressed before the World Cup it will mar the tournament.

More noise has to be made about this so that both FIFA and the Russian authorities ramp up pro-active measures to prevent problems.
