Diouf an attacker with 25 league goals over 9 seasons, better known for spitting all over the pitch like a pregnant woman.
He should not even be in the 2nd XI.

The Liverpool superstar has gone on to great things since crashing out of Stamford Bridge, but Mourinho does not feel he erred in letting him go
Jose Mourinho has rejected claims that he mismanaged the talents of a young Mohamed Salah at Chelsea, affirming that he is one of the Liverpool star's most ardent admirers.
Salah was signed by Mourinho's Chelsea from Basel at the tender age of 21, after impressing as a youngster in the Swiss club.
His time at Stamford Bridge, however, failed to live up to expectations, as he received only fleeting first-team opportunities under the manager before leaving the club for Roma just over 18 months later in the summer of 2015.
Editors' Picks
Salah has since gone on to establish himself as one of the world's premier strikers, leading Liverpool to the Champions League final in 2017-18 and earning himself sixth place in the Ballon d'Or vote eventually won by Luka Modric.
But Mourinho believes it is unfair to accuse him of wasting the Egyptian's talents.
"First of all let’s start with Salah. Because lots of things have been told which are not true," he explained to BeIN Sports .
"For a start people try to identify me as the coach that sold Salah. I am the coach that bought Salah. It’s completely the wrong idea.
"I played against Basel in the Champions League. Salah was a kid at Basel. When I play against a certain team I analyse a team and players for quite a long time.
"And I fell in love with that kid. I bought the kid.
"I pushed the club to buy him and at the time we already had fantastic attacking players - Hazard, Willian, we had top talent there. But I told them to buy that kid. He was more a winger coming inside than a striker."
According to the former Manchester United, Blues and Real Madrid boss, Salah's difficulties in adapting to his new home, as well as a certain impatience ultimately hurt his Chelsea career.
"He was just a lost kid in London. He was a lost kid in a new world," Mourinho added.
"We wanted to work him, to become better and better and better. But he was more of the idea of wanting to play and not wait.
"So we decided to put him on loan, in a culture I knew well. Italy. Tactical football. Physical football. A good place to play.
"Fiorentina are a good team to play for without the pressure of playing for the title. And we decided that move there.
"When the club decided to sell him it was not me. I bought him, I did not sell him."

All Drogba goals against Arsenal.

Nothing better then going to a bar to watch the match, and knowing that 2 things are sure:

1. I will pay for my drink
2. Drogba will score.

Which match was the one where the TV cameras zoomed into Wenger's face and he was crying? grin grin grin

My second favourite goal was when Drogba kicked Vidic's teeth down his open goal throat. Was that FA Cup 06 or 07?

3rd favourite 'thing' was Drogba giving Vidic that dirty slap.

Little by little, these Emenalo myths are being shattered

Ibime:

Unlike RDM and Benitez however, JM was allowed 4 signings due to his stature and wilpower.

Players Jose signed are Matic, Costa, Fabregas and Felipe Luis only. . . as well as Eto on a free transfer.

Schurrle, Willian, Cuadrado, Van Ginkel, Salah, Zouma, Cuadrado, Rahman, Adrian, Kenedy, Hector and Djoliboli were all Emenalo signings. . .

Then you have not seen Reece James on loan at Wigan. That guy is a boss.

Even Ola Aina is ahead of Tomori. Ola done turn to superstar for Torino somehow.

Welcome back Sir.

Thanks boss.

I really don't know a thing about Reece, I guess I'll start paying attention his way.

Ola hasn't been too convincing down the RB position. His best performances for Torino have been in his less-favored role on the left flank, as opposed to the right. He's been handed the chance to make the RB position his own with the Super Eagles, but fella still failed to impress. This only fuels the narrative that he plays better on the left side.

Zappacosta could be jettisoned in the summer, placing our attention in the way of Reece (whom according to you has been awesome at Wigan), Ola and Tomori, should be our next call.

We don't need to start farming for RBs in Europe when we've got homegrown talents who can stick with the team.

Jose that was caught lying that he didn't sell Salah only to be exposed by his own words.

Chelsea were following Salah since 2012 season, before Jose was manager, when both we and Spurs faced them in Europa.

Emenalo brought him to Jose in January 2014 when Mata was leaving, Jose said yes that's all. Jose was just trying to cover his ãrse after Salah became a star by claiming he bought him but he did not sell him, and was later caught by his own words.

I do my research well to pinpoint the influence behind a signing, and there is 90% chance of it being correct.

https://www.independent.co.uk/sport/football/premier-league/liverpool-news-mohamed-salah-goals-highlights-chelsea-making-of-latest-a8072991.html

First of all, those close to Chelsea’s hierarchy say there has always been something of a myth about the initial Salah signing from Basel in 2014. They maintain he was not just purchased because his availability coincided with Jose Mourinho’s need for a substitute forward and the opportunity to irritate Liverpool, but that he was actually an entirely logical Michael Emenalo signing. At a mere 21 years of age at the time, Salah was just another young talent signed as part of the longer-term plan to buy the next generation of stars before they became stars - and thereby save a lot of money.

The only Emenalo myth being shattered is some people's belief he was anything but incompetent, as evidenced by taking Monaco into relegation zone from UCL places.

No need for unnamed sources. I was following Chelsea before Jose and saw links to Salah.

Jose was caught lying in that statement.

Jose: "I bought Salah but I didn't sell him." . . until his comments in 2015 asking Chelsea to sell Salah were exposed.

Emenalo meanwhile is doing the same thing he did at Chelsea, failing to establish consistency despite having good attacking players because he did not recognize the needs of his midfield, and once again failed to build a balance squad. That man incompetence no be here. Taking players like Golovin and Jovetic toward relegation in a farmers league.

I have right to hate someone who caused me so much frustration for so many years, and who squandered so much opportunity by failing to recognise some football basics. Monaco fans must be feeling the same way.

Ahn, ahn, that was trashed out severally and Jose mocked severely on this thread for it.

One should have good memory to be able to keep track of Chelsea transfers and how they came about.

Jose interview with SkySports in 2015.

https://www.liverpoolecho.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/jose-mourinho-rewriting-history-over-14583350

He did, however, confirm one player was surplus to requirements.

Mo Salah.

“I see his future elsewhere,” Mourinho added. “Either on loan or sold with an offer we are happy to accept.

"We have five wingers and it is better not to have Salah back.”

Well, this doesn't prove that Mourinho sold him.

Mourinho clearly said he didn't think Salah was ready, which is why he was loaned in the first place.

He also said Salah was impatient and wanted to play. logically if first team space no dey, and the player refuses to go on loan - what other option is there?

The key phrase there is " an offer we are happy to accept". Since when did Mourinho start accepting transfer bids?

Truth.

This Mourinho blames almost everybody but not himself. He just doesnt like admitting his 4ckups.

So instead of admitting he sold Sallah, He's twisted the whole narrative blaming Sallah's impatience and even going further to claim He eventually made him by putting him at Fiorentina where he became physical. grin

Jose Mourinho had been gone for a year when Chelsea sold Salah.

I can agree the Loan move....but not the Sold move.

By the way, none of this disproves Jose's assertion that he bought Salah in the first place....which is the crux of the matter need I remind you.
