This is rather barbaric, untoward and a sheer act of dehumanization. Locking a boy of ten years in a coal bunker for a year with no source of light, proper air, convenience and healthy food? How can anybody think of subjecting a child to such a cruel living not to speak of their own child? This beats my imagination.

This squalid dark coal bunker was home to a boy of 10 for a year – imprisoned by his own cruel mum and dad.
The child was locked up day and night with just a soiled mattress and a potty and was only let out to go to school, a court heard.
