Perez shouldn't have answered such a question with a vile reply. Better still he should have ignored the question when the reporter asked him about a possible Ronaldo return.

I love Perez as our president but he still shows that he is still burt-hurt about the whole Ronaldo fiasco. While Perez made good profit from selling Ronaldo, he also made very poor decisions after by refusing to allow Bale leave ealier (making Bale outstay his relevance and taking €30m+ gross salary per year for 3 seasons).
Hazard transfer was a disaster yet he is still our highest paid player at €25m+ gross per year add to his crazy transfer fee.
Same thing for Jovic and Mariano crazy fees and salary yet all failed signings.
Except for the Courtois and Camavinga/Rodrygo (still not certain) signings, most of Perez transfer post-2018 haven't been smart at all.

In hindsight, Ronaldo and Perez weren't really smart in their decisions but the performance of our old guards (KCM, Benz, and Courtois) is the only reason why Perez can feel he is smart.

Our recent success is inspite of Perez failures not down to his personal success so he should pipe down and show respect whenever Ronaldo's name is mentioned cos CR7 is our legend and undisputed GOHT.

Ronaldo is 37, he's too old for us. we've never signed a player that age, hell I can count on one hand the number of 30 year olds we've singed in a long time and come to think of it asides Ricardo Carvalho I don't know anyone we've signed recently and Carvalho is over 10 years ago if my memory about the signing is correct.

Even leaving age aside Ronaldo right now is not as good a striker as Benzema and isn't as good a winger as Vinicius. one is the best player in the world right now and the other is a top 3 winger at worst. No one would've thought Bale would sign a new contract then phone it in, also Perez wanted to sell Bale to China but a serious injury suffered by Marco Asensio made him make a U-turn. hindsight is 20/20, no one would've predicted Hazard's fitness would fall of a cliff so fast. yes he would make a few mistakes here and there but selling Ronaldo isn't one of them, neither is his refusing to sign him back when he's close to 40. There's a reason no other top club is trying to sign him and save him from the humiliation of playing in Europa League and they aren't stupid

It's easy for Ronaldo fans like you to criticize his failures and ignore his successes. like his replacing Kaylor with Thibaut, Mendy, militao, holding on to Jesus Vallejo, Signing David Alaba, letting Ramos leave, Selling Varane, letting James Rodriguez leave who has proven to be finished since then amongst other small victories.

Saying our present successes are inspite of Perez is highly delusional like he's trying his hardest to sabotage the club and we're just lucky he's not succeeding or something hahaha. wtf!

Ronaldo isn't good enough to start for this Madrid team and that's a fact. He can't take on his man like Vini, can't drop deep and dictate play when things are getting tight like Benz, I'd even argue Benz is presently a better finisher than him, dribbles better, passes better, presses better. only thing Ronaldo is probably better than him at is his staying in the opposition box and hoping his teammates feed him balls for tapins or hope the ref gives his team a penalty and look like a liability if those don't happen. I appreciate what he's done for us the 9 years he spent here and I hope he comes back to the club in the future on non playing capacity but him wearing our jersey to play a competitive match again? that's a no no
