is not true. i had a non-immigrant visa it took 3 days. an immigrant visa needs to be investigated. the documents need to be checked to see if they are genuine. and the visa is not only immigrant visas that are approved. take into consideration the vast number of non-immigrant ones and passports that are printed for their citizens.

Urgent Please house i need help oo...i am a 2013 winner.My surname in all my certificates is Ogutum, before i entered the DV 2013 i changed my surname to Ogwutum to agree with other family members (wife and son). my problem now is that my paasport bears my old name and is to expire by 2015 but i have the court affidavit. i have been to imigration in PH and they said to correct my name in the passport is 70k. should i take the passport to interview like that or change it. note: my other certificates agree with the passport.

It is not a must!
At least my family did not. We had different surnames but that was not an issue at our interview.
