Please Help, Is It Advisable To Go For Vista? by UNLEASHED(m): 7:36pm On Nov 14, 2007
After having problems after problems while trying to get the video drivers of my Gateway laptop, I was advised to go for Vista. I don't know how this Vista works, If I install Vista, don't I need any kinda drivers again? I took the laptop to the engineer today and I was told that Vista is slow that I will need to buy memory for it, maybe 512MB or something, Is this true or is he trying to rip me off? For how long does Vista works? Is it advisable to get it please?

Hi guy, I will advice you not to go for Vista at all. See, it is better you get the driver software for your system (since you said that your system is having VGA problem) and install the VGA driver that you needed than puting yourself into Vista problems.

Below are the reasons why I suggest that it is better for you to get the driver software for your laptop than installing Vista because of only the VGA Driver that your system needed.

Apart fom the fact that Vista required 512MB minimum of RAM capacity (but 1GB for better performance of the system), it also have moooore problem of software incompatibility. what I mean in the aspect of software incompatibility is that, you may buy a software to install onto your system, but receive the message "this software you are trying to install is not compatible with windows Vista" while trying to install the software. See how painfull that would be!!!

In fact, I can't even advice somebody to go for Vista for now because of the driver and software incompatibility problem I had with it early this year.

But mine you, if you then insist on installing Vista onto your system, try to get the original one because there are some that you will install and expire after about two months of installation.
