Soak a towel in a hot water then place it on the bumps for like 3 to 5mins then apply epiderm cream triple action on it,for seven days it will vanish

@Tisa, I all So had same problem on my chest in 2009,I went to luth for a cure and there direct me to one dermatology hospital in yaba.which I paid 10,000 thousand naria and they gave me in injection on my chest for 1 month and the doctor described a cream for me salicylie acid and sulphur ointment and went to pharmacy to brought the cream 3thousand naria.every morning and night I rub the cream on my bumbs for good 3 month.I thought the bumbs is gone after fewer month again the bumbs grow like magic again I just fed up.a friend of mine that direct me to one private dermatology doctor this man cure me finally I swear!!!

I first experienced this bump wen I went to the barber's shop without my clipper in 2005 November and on the second day a tiny bump appeared on my neck @ the back of the head, 7yrs later and with a few drugs (Flucamed.... Not so sure of d name) the bumps are everywhere on my neck (pls see picture). I ve done HIV tests 3 times since then (for insurance n job change) and the results are all negative. Do anyone know what this is and how I can treat it? Its been really embarrassing.

Bumps on the back of the neck that look like keloids or "barber's rash" may actually be acne keloidalis nuchae (AKN). This is a condition of folliculitis, in which the hair follicle becomes inflamed and the body forms bumps while it tries to get rid of it. While it tries to repair itself, thicker, keloid-like tissue can grow over the bumps. this can trap hair inside, which means the condition will keep reoccurring.

In later stages of this condition, the bumps can fuse together into a tumor-like shape. For this reason, it is recommended to consult a dermatologist as soon as possible. When the AKN bumps join together, the only curative treatment is surgical removal of the affected tissue.

When the bumps are caught and diagnosed early enough, laser treatments may be effective. Medication alone is not guaranteed to cure the condition. Steroid treatments may be helpful in addition to laser or surgical treatment.

A colleague of ma husband also had a similar bump after having a hair cut at a salon, he went to his hospital in lag where he was later referred to a specialist, and dunno what happened, guess it was operated, but now its gone, I will ask him 2moro when I go to dia office
