The students of Kwara Polytechnic early this morning came out enmasse in protest at the Elekoyangan area of Kwarapoly road, Ilorin, Kwara to demand for installation of a new electricity transformer in the area.

The student blocked the road leading to the UNILORIN Teaching hospital thereby preventing staff and patients of the hospital from going into or leaving the hospital.

Was an eye witness of d whole scene..after several plea to d government for a working and sound transformer d governor with his ignorance refuse to listen to d agitation of d studnt and dis led to a mass protest dat involve baricading d federal road leading to jebba....d situation here is awful, 4 a student area to be negleted by government 4 d past 5 month with no power supply.....d protest has calm with d intervention of d police....but lets face d fact, 5 month no light haba dat stupid nw...hope d skul resume on mondai sha..aluta continua.
