I Went To England And They Spoke American??? Why Is This? Lol.. by BlackPikiN(m): 1:46am On May 29, 2012 |
Resolved Question I went to England and they spoke American Why is this? Also they copied our city names like Boston, (New) York, Birmingham and the state of (New) Hampshire!!! Why do they copy us!!! Also why Do they say david beckham is English when he's American Best Answer - Chosen by Asker Christopher Columbus, under the commission of King Washington sailed from Boston Harbor seeking a new trade route to Spain when he accidentally discovered the British Isles. He named the place England after the New England states in the USA. People in England are the direct descendants of American sailors and therefore speak American. David Beckham became an American citizen when he married his Posh Spice who is a direct descendant of Pochantas, a native American. The United States has a rich heritage. Americans have migrated all over the world and populated all of Europe. Europeans are all descendants of the American peoples. http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=AgCYisx.B1ibHFPzQVAHuIteLxV.;_ylv=3?qid=20110904163523AAwwcP5 |

All kidding aside, you get the sense that the British do copy american culture/way, and by american culture, I am referring to those aspects of American living which have no British roots. |
Re: I Went To England And They Spoke American??? Why Is This? Lol.. by BlackPikiN(m): 5:09am On May 29, 2012 |
^^^ Never noticed anything like that. I have always seen the American copy the British in a way. I've not seen the British say American accent is sexy but you keep hearing the Americans say the British accent is. |
Re: I Went To England And They Spoke American??? Why Is This? Lol.. by Kobojunkie: 6:00am On May 29, 2012 |
BlackPikiN: ^^^ Never noticed anything like that. Well, who knows, it could be that you do see it. When you have some Americans say things like British accents are sexy, that does not then mean they COPY the British. A report some time ago claimed that some Americans thought Nigerian accents are sexy(yuck!),do we then conclude that Americans copy Nigerians? |

Ejiné: Your pops must be very retarded to have to have a kid with down syndrome like you... Maybe, you need to take your meds, and re-read my post, silly goat. And I told you to stop stalking me everyday, with your low IQ.. If you don't know the difference between flood, and erosion - stay away from me with your down syndrome.. |

shymmex: And your dumb pauper dad himself was evidently too dull and broke to afford a condomm the night he was going to phuck your child prostiitute of a mom in that derelict shack in Peckham. Because if he had actually done this, he would've saved humanity the pain of having to accommodate a glorified imbeciile like you Oh yeah, I just read your dumb post again, and it did nothing but highlight your skull-shattering idiiocy in 3D. Why not accept that you didn't get the joke (obviously because you're too dull) and move on instead of trying to defend the indefensible? Don't you know how stupiid this makes you come accross as? And from your futile recitations about erosion and Flooding, it goes to show the only mooron with a microscopic IQ in this equation, is none other than Shymmex, the failed Peckham street urchin |

BlackPikiN: ^^^ Never noticed anything like that. Heh. They always use British accents too in pretty much any medieval or fantasy movie/tv show. Game of Thrones, Lord of the Rings... Americans for whatever reason hold British accents in high regard. |

Ejiné: Another verbosity from the retarded Ejine.. Will you ever learn?? I don't care about your junk, if you can't write straight and direct... Stop stalking me, faggit... I'm a busy guy, and I don't have time for your rants. |
Re: I Went To England And They Spoke American??? Why Is This? Lol.. by Ejine(m): 3:05pm On May 29, 2012 |
shymmex: It's a well known fact that powerless fools who get bested in a war of words, normally resort to worn-out recitations as a final attempt at scurrying away in fear, so I'm not surprised at this predictable cry from you. And please, for your own sake, desist from further opening your own nyash by picking on people's word usage on this site, because looking at your history of woes, you've long been exposed as an empty barrel who can barely construct a decent sentence to save his miserable life ("you are benefit me" Regards |
Re: I Went To England And They Spoke American??? Why Is This? Lol.. by Nobody: 3:11pm On May 29, 2012 |
Ejiné: We don't even belong in the same league - and doing this dumb back, and forth with you, just shows how humble I'm... Maybe, you need check what VERBOSITY means in the dictionary next time, olodo... Intelligent people write straight, and direct comments.. But nah, being a clown that you're - you have to always indulge in writing junks (which actually makes no sense) over and over again. Seriously, who wants to read that crap? As for being a street urchin, come say that to my face - and I'll show you what being a street urchin is like.. Bust out your noodles, and send it as a gift to eunuch pops for the new yam festival. |
Re: I Went To England And They Spoke American??? Why Is This? Lol.. by Ejine(m): 3:33pm On May 29, 2012 |
shymmex: Next time you're going to refer a person to the dictionary (in a desperate attempt to pass yourself off as intelligent), don't ruin it by committing the terrible blunder of showcasing your shockingly poor grammatical skills. "JUNKS which actually MAKES"? Obviously, the rules of Concord in English Language flew past your microscopic brain, olodo rabata! Can you now see why I call you a Class-A Dullard? In your desperate bid to sound intelligent by refering people to dictionary words (they never asked you about, to even begin with), you just showed us you're indeed a very clueless animal who should be repeating Primary 4. Seriously oga, how dumb are you? Biko, since the situation is even worse than I thought, I think you should leave Peckham and immediately come enrol in GEJ's Almajiri School, because your intelligence is a shocking disaster Ngwa, talk your own |
Re: I Went To England And They Spoke American??? Why Is This? Lol.. by Nobody: 3:50pm On May 29, 2012 |
Ejiné:[/s] I can't believe this fool actually pointed to a negligible typo in a well constructed sentence, to prove a point.. You're a clown!!! You can't even compare your writing skills to mine - I'm not on your level.... The pair of round brackets is used when a writer wants to add information to a sentence that will give greater detail to the information presented. However, the information is extra and not really necessary, which means that it can be removed with ease and without damaging the original information. ^^^ That tells you all you need to know.... As for the street urchin thing, come say that to my face... |
Re: I Went To England And They Spoke American??? Why Is This? Lol.. by Nobody: 3:52pm On May 29, 2012 |
@Ejine Check out what negligible means, retard... And please stop stalking me with your verbose - I can't be arsed to read most of the thrash you post all the time... |
Re: I Went To England And They Spoke American??? Why Is This? Lol.. by Ejine(m): 5:07pm On May 29, 2012 |
shymmex: [/s] Chei!!! You've just worsened your case even more! Take my advice, dunce: When you're in a hole, STOP digging. Let me start by quoting a section of the stuff you posted: It can be removed with ease and without damaging the information Of course it can be removedwithout affecting the information, dumbo! But what I'm making you see is your idiiocy, that a grammatically incorrect piece in a bracket cannot be ADDED to a sentence without ruining it. When a word or phrase in a bracket is added to a sentence, its function is to alternatively branch the original sentence into two possibly seperate sentences, with the first route maintaining its meaning, and the second route presenting an extended version of the first sentence. Taking the second route in your aforementioned bracket only leads us to a disastrous grammatical blunder, and that is what I've clearly pointed out. Now, that's English 101, MOOORON!! The least you can do is keep shut already and stop worsening your case by posting futile garbage. And as for your call for me to come call you a street urchin to your face? It just shows you as a powerless, childish local champion with severe insecurity issues. Abi you think I'd be travelling all the way to a Peckham slum for a nonentity like you? I'd like you to show your ugly face in Nigeria and then we can talk. Morrroon! |
Re: I Went To England And They Spoke American??? Why Is This? Lol.. by Kobojunkie: 6:36pm On May 29, 2012 |
BlackPikiN: ^^^ Na you be the real mumu. Wetin dey that ur big round head self? Soccer is not American . . . Definitely, there is big money in it and so it makes sense for America, and every non-soccer nation to want to attract it but that is not copying. Also, having characters in movies set in medieval times speak with British accent, or scottish, does not suggest Americans copy British. For pete's sake America's history stems from the British roots. When I say it seems the British copy Americans, I am referring to things like lifestyle, choice of entertainment, ideas etc. And yes, there is a distinction between what can be termed AMERICAN and what cannot. You drive up to North Canada, and you almost immediately sense the difference between American way of life, mentality, etc. And that of their brothers next door. Essentially, the way of living here is not what you will term TYPICAL in anyway. |
Re: I Went To England And They Spoke American??? Why Is This? Lol.. by Nobody: 6:47pm On May 29, 2012 |
Ejiné: Since, English isn't your first language - I'll ignore the thrash you posted up there... I'll be visiting naija soon, and make sure you don't go ghost like you did when chino11 was looking for you in Abuja lol... Ejine, the coward son of an eunuch father... |
Re: I Went To England And They Spoke American??? Why Is This? Lol.. by Ejine(m): 12:54am On May 30, 2012 |
shymmex: So, wait, in your usual corner-corner tactic, you've finally backed down and side-stepped your futile attempt to defend your blunder after I gave you some hard schooling on English 101? LMAOOOO!!! Make I laff properly jare! I knew it was only a matter of time before you scurried out of that field like a coward. And please, for your sake, stop trying hard to rope Chino's name in this convo to boost your low self esteem, because that's what cowards like you are known to do. To further burst your bubble my dear clueless idiiot friend, Chino and I are actually cool now, and that thread in particular was just a minor disagreement between two Igbo brothers which has been long resolved. And if you remember clearly, the instance you foolishly cited (in your hasty bid to rope others into your current predicament) only had Chino11 seeking for a meet-up as he was attending a conference, and what he wanted was a professional acquaintance. And even though we were in a sparring show, I still grudgingly harbored that respect for his offer, as much as I tried not to show it - So, pal, your empty reference just fell flat on its face And I'll also add, that quite unlike Chino's offer, which was on a professional level, yours just amplifies your stupiidity on a whole new level. So let me get this straight - malnourished Peckham hobo wants a meet-up because he just had his arse handed to him on the internet? Ain't it funny? and you still wonder why you're called the mooron of the forum. Congratulations Shymmex, the under-fed child of a deserted Peckham jailbird |
