1)People who are Nigerian who say things like 'akata' 'ewu' 'ah-ah' 'na wa o' 'comeon', followed by a long tirade to do a list of errands 'disting' for 'this thing' 'goslow' for traffic 'boot' for trunk 'pant' for underwear 'armpit thing' for deodeorant 'ching chong' for any asian person they see or talk to 2) A nigerian household that isn't complete without a pot of stew and rice , soup for fufu, in the refrigorator 3) A man who is persistent and without even knowing you claims that you are 'his wife' 4)People that are self confident and self assured and don't need to rely on reparations to get a job or go to college. onila: Wtf? Speak for your own family. Nigerians in general aren't racist against Asians, period. 4)People that are self confident and self assured and don't need to rely on reparations to get a job or go to college. I don't know what insecure jackass wrote this, but I hope he or she one day comes to the realization that putting down other groups of black people, whether explicitly or indirectly, isn't going to make whites or Asians or Arabs or any group view your specific ethnic or national group in a better light or make them think more highly of your people. People like this need to stop shining their teeth and looking for a pat on the head and grow some balls already. |

PhysicsQED: Amen. A lot of ppl on this sitr frown up there faces and get annoyed when slavery is mentioned. What they fail to,realize is the trade affect Africans just as much if not even more, that it did us. As far as the reparations are concerned the US gov.t has not compensated any other group than the Japanese Americans who were held in prison camps in America during WW2. The only blacks other than them to get money were the men who were injected with syphillis and black women who were wrongfully steralized so that the, number of black women (nigger babies) in the US would be "curved". smh. Nothing to poke fun of if you ask me. In fact the only compensation we got was this thing called Affirmative Action which even Nigerians in America enjoy the benefits from though many would rather pretend they didn't hence that rather ignorant subliminal rant the op made. I wish more ppl thought like you though. ![]() |

nigerians in nigeria do refer to chinese as "chinko" but it is not a derogatory term. well, as for now. maybe in the future it will take a new meaning just like "akata" has taken a new meaning with african-americans. even though "akata" was a term used by nigerians in nigeria to describe nigerians who grew up in yankee aka nigerian-americans when they returned home. nigerian-americans then took the word to the US and used it to describe african-americans but it was not as a derogatory term. african-americans then took the word and gave it a new meaning "cotton-picker" thanks to movie sugar hill staring wesley snipes. so AA of this generation get offended when called akata, they feel u are calling them cotton-picker. so words and their meaning evolve. and as at today, "chinko" is not a derogatory term towards chinese/asians |

Nice One, what about this one: made popular by former Nigerian President Olusegun Obasanjo. I dey laugh o (hereafter IDLO) is a scornful and mocking response to another's position on a subject. IDLO has been made popular by young Nigerians who usually respond to a comment on social networks such as Facebook and Twitter with the pithy "IDLO" Atiku: I will be Nigeria's next president Obasanjo: I dey laugh o Source: http://techtalkafrica.com/urban-dictionary-a-web-based-dictionary-of-words.html/ |
