I don't think i get your question, how will you travel without passport?

What i'm saying in essence is that can i get a passport now and travel later or it will take up to how many months or years before it can be expired. Pls, I need your elaborative emphasis on this topic and your comments will be highly appreciated by me. Thank you very much.

Yes you can get passport today and travel in 2 or 3 yrs time, it doesn't matter. Passport is valid for 5 yrs.
