It has become an issue of concern to engaged youth and single youth...WHITE WEDDING; WHAT ABOUT IT? In our country Nigeria, white wedding has grown to become some unusual. It has done less good and great danger. It has sent marrying couple borrowing. It has kept up coming couples unmarried. The question is, how true and important is this marriage that is given such a eloquent glory? The bible which is the standard for christian living today, said nothing about this marriage. The only kind of marriage recognised by the bible is that which involves the parents of the bride giving their concept to the groom. Immediately this is done, the groom pays or do for the parents whatever it is they demand. Today things have changed. Pastors have turned this sacred institution to money making venture. They rather inflict injuries on the marrying couple in the name of WHITE WEDDING instead of encouraging them. Of a true, white wedding is just a tradition of the whites, it has got nothing to do with d church neither the bible. Less arise and make our youth glad. Immorality is on the peak because of too much burden levied on youths who ought to have gotten married. |

You are right. The stu.pi.dity of our girls made the whole thing ugly. The worst is that they force their men to borrow money just to impress their friends. They dont even know that they can have a wedding in court. |

They dont even know that they can have a wedding in court.. U just made the post more colourful. I dn't understand why a young girl that is going into marriage will want her husband to be marry her into debt all in the name of wedding. One of the surprising thing is that such marriage dn't last a season. So unfortunate. |
