HOW MUCH DID MIKEL OBI BRIBE U GUYZ WITH? @vanstanzy, My take exactly on this bros. And to think of it, how many honours have they given to the Kanus of this world who not only won laurels for ALL the clubs he played for, won MANY for Nigeria (the MOST decorated Nigerian footballer) & now has foundation helping helpless Africans? This is what you get when wack gets attention. From the beginning Chelsea fans showed that they did NOT deserve the cups by the childish things they have done since wacking their way with horrible football to the two cups. PATHETIC. |

As a blue fan, i'm happy for mikel but as his compatriot I am disappointed in him. I saw the likes of Torres, Drogba and David Luis with their national colours (flags) after the match in munich, which means they are proud of their nationalities. Often times, i've seen many African players (Drogba, Kalou, Adebayor, Eto'o, Toure) in England/europe with wrist bands of their national colours, but am yet to see our own dear mikel use/put on green-white-green item in Europe. I'm his fan and want the best for him, but let those who love him tell him to show more patriotism in his career. CAN ANYONE THINK OF A WORLD-CLASS PLAYER WITH NO SENSE OF PATRIOTISM?. |

Nonsense !!! Another waste eminent, was the winning for the super eagles of Nigeria or a local club in Niaja, has he established some sort of empowerment programme for the jobless Nigerian Youth ?? Or has he thot of helping the many competent footballers wishing to be like him?? Yet He deserves an honor from our national assembly..it only shows the level of our stupidity when there so many Nigerians doing the Nation proud through their handiwork.. "We can't continue like this" |

Na waooooo dis country jaga jaga. Wetin concern nigeria with fa and uefa cup? Just b'cos of one person from a club that won fa and uefa, nigeria will waist millions of naira now. What has mikel won/done for nigeria? So many graduates looking for work, so many crimes in d nation, instead of nass to put head 2geda and solve dis mess, they are busy looking for who to honour. |

They shuld use that money to put overhead bridge at area 3 and wuye (finance) junction Abuja where people die like chicken when crossing the road. So many appeals on dis issue, yet nothing has be done. The money they will waist on mikel won't benefit nigeria. |

It's quite likely that most people commenting here are Man U and Arsenal fans. If that's not the case, then they must have a fundamental mis-reading of this story. Again, what do you expect from the National Assembly Committee on Sports? It is a Committee on Sports for Pete's sake, not the Committee on Security or the Economy. You are all acting as if the entire National Assembly in conjunction with GEJ are organizing this event. When was the last time a Nigerian played on a team that won the Champions league. Most of you will not remember because it happened almost 20 years ago. |

You people can now see some of the reasons that the cocacola advert read, while the rest of the world are worried of the future, africans are sharing cocacola. Does this behavior show the actions of leaders with plan for their people's future? 1 Like |

I feel like crying, so italy would declear a public holiday for RDM, for being the first coach to win the CL for chelsea, ivory'c would also do same for drogba for scoring the winning goal, if mikel could get an award for winning the CL with chelsea, after scoring 2goals in 6yrs in carling cup games for chelsea.... What would outsiders saay of nigeria, after hearing this..? Really sad, this legislooters are really going nuts.. |
