My questions are;
1. Can I use a Nigerian account with a balance of N5.0M, but there is no much activities on the account, as the money is a lump sum deposited for about 4 weeks, and a UK account with about £10,000 balance for both myself and my dependant? Both accounts are in my name.
2. Is Newfoundland province immigration rules friendly,as I plan attending a college there?
3. Can my dependant switch to become the main applicant, if he is able to switch to another immigration route, eg work permit, and I now depend on him?
4. I plan to apply together with my dependant, here in the UK, and I will show that he is a student in the UK, and we can't afford to separate now, since the marriage is young, that he will only be coming to canada to see me, as his studies is his commitment in the uk. How feasible is this please?
4. Lastly, what are the other ways to getting PR, if I entered through student visa? As I plan doing PGD or a diploma in personal support worker?

Thank u

1. U can use any account anywhere even if na Pluto the acct dey...as long as its in ur name or ur sponsor's name(for those using sponsors)....If no activity on the acct; U may want to show the source of the cashogi....attach a letter detailing the reason for the sudden gbem to the bank statement....then coupled with the UK accate...

2. As per Newfy Immigration wahala...I gat no clue...but I believe u are refering to Provincial Nominee...gbam here is the link http://www.nlpnp.ca/

3. Why not...he can be the main applicant since he would have secured a valid work permit and has a job....so, no wahala at all..as a matter of fact, if hin finish hin program for UK...he can join u and can be eligible for a work permit and once hin get job...hin fit apply for PR as the main guy....gbam here is the link http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/study/work-spouse.asp

4. U can include him in ur application and ensure u include all his immigration documents showing his status for UK ...also, ensure he picks up a letter from his current school to show he is currently registered in school as a confirmed student...study permit alone wont do it...infact, if possible submit a photocopy of hin Student card join....all na to convince them....

4. na #5 u suppose write....the only righteous way na to finish ur program and apply as CEC ...gbam these na the two links http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/study/work-postgrad.asp

Hi All,
1,I want to find out if I need to make a partial or full payment of my fees as I am about to apply for my student visa, in the instructions for applying they advised against paying and indicated that they would inform about when to make payment, however some people are advising I should make payments before applying
2,I am hoping to begin studies 1st week of May and some people are saying I may be late for the May entry can anyone throw more light on this?
3, Also I may be getting another admission letter at a different school, can I swap to this school at some point in the application?
Thanks for your help with answering these questions

Hello

1: From the experience of various people on this thread, I really dont think making payment in advance has any advantage. As long as you provide evidence of sufficient funds, think you will do just fine holding on to payment till they require you to. If anything, only makes it more painful if an application is eventually denied after making payment. someone else can please proffer an opinion on this;
2: Considering they say it take 4-6 months, in theory it could be considered too late.. but really, what do you have to loose in that regard? We have seen cases of people been called for medicals within 2 months. I say you put in your application still. Worse case, they tell you to provide another start date and you get September..that is if you are not considering a plan b in another country for same period tho;
3: I don't think this is possible. Maybe someone else that knows for sure about this can say something.

Those of us applying to Universities should just hope they get this 10days thing on track in time or we may end up not making sept start date. My school just mailed me saying they would make their decision 4months after deadline and that is July 2013.

Are you sure you are not on the waiting list? Coz if people turn down offers by not making financial commitments by June, the spots will be allocated to those wait-listed.

I hope they are being completely straightforward with you.

Extract from the mail**

"HOW LONG WILL A DECISION TAKE? Applications are not sent for review until after the posted application deadline. Decision letters will be mailed out 4 months AFTER the posted application deadline, in July 2013. If you are admitted, admission letters are valid for one year, so obtaining a visa will not be an issue. "

What is the name of the University?...

Unless CDHC change their ways, u might not meet up with Fall 2013. So I would advise you prepare your mind for Winter 2014 or apply to another Univesity.

Please I need more information about the PGD in canada. I am a graduate of electrical and electronics engineering and wish to study Msc in petroleum or chemical engineering at one of the universities in canada. Which PGD course can lead me to study any of the mentioned courses for masters and suggest any suitable colleges for me.

Hello House,

I need your help with my plan to migrate to canada. I will be graduating with a Msc Information Technology from the University of Liverpool by July, 2013, but i intend to migrate with my family to canada thus i intend to use the student visa route, which am hoping that i can later use use to seek for canada PR. I plan seek admission from George Brown college... Find link to the course: http://www.georgebrown.ca/T405-2013-2014/

My question to the expert in the house is:

Is the college and course considered viable enough by CHC Embassy in Nigeria?
Can the course allow me to seek CEC or PR after i complete the course?
What is the job prospect as it relates to the course!!!

Please help with your contribution.... before i consider seeking admission into the college.

Hi guys, I've been following this post for a while now, though half heartedly. I started applying to Canada last year, and I've never been so stressed in my entire life. I've applied to over six schools, two unis last year in dec and four colleges this year about a week ago for post graduate degree/certificate, haven't gotten any replies yet, First of all it was hard to find unis I could apply to cos most of dem want you to have at least a 3.7(second class upper) in your undergraduate degree. The most annoying was the thesis proposal part. I just hope I hear from dem soon cos all d visa wahala I read about here scares me.

You've gat nothing to worry about....I applied in October 2012 for a Fall 2013 start and still waiting for decision on my application as well...Just make sure you keep contact with the schools cos some of them have started issuing out admission acceptance letters.

As for Study permit, individual cases are treated differently...Just package well and pray/hope for the best...Plus Apply early to avoid possible delays.

As long as you get your letter latest by ''MAY''... Keep contact wit the schools to know the status of your application.

In the mean time, start gathering documents for your study permit application.
