@mercylicious reading your msg I feel like crying. I feel sad that my application was rejected but yours make me feel worse. All is well my sister. God knows best. This Canada people will still beg us with this visa one day. All the best. |

kelly4top: Hmmmm, I have heard that "interested in your case" line before. It does not always add up eventually but..., well if only to keep spirits up sha. I will prefer to be turned down in a week or month than for them to be "interested in my case" for 4,5 or 6 months then turn me down eventually. Do they realise what you can do with your passport and documents in 5 months? If I re-apply and don't hear from them in 2-3 months, I will probably ask them to send me my passport and tell them I need it urgently. Our lives do not revolve around Canada and so they should not detain our destiny or put it on hold for so long. Some human beings will say "we have delayed this persons application for too long, in consideration of that, let us just approve the application", but Never canada VO. Anyway, I hope they start the process where they do not collect passport until TRV approval soon. The delay is to discourage people and break their spirits to re-apply. @ mercylicious, I still encourage you to give it one more try. If you can get admission and hold on to your cash (if you succeed, remember galala123 forever!). Since you are waiting for one year to probably try USA, you might as well re-deposit your application with them during the waiting period, you are busy at work, apart from the strain psychologically, visa fee, police report and other running around expenses, what more can you loose?. On the bright side, they called you this time around which means you got closer to your TRV than the first time. The denial reason, if not vague will guide you further ultimately. Winners don't quit and 3rd trial, like 3rd position is acceptable by any standard. 2 Likes |

earthgreeners:Darellone I also had 3.2 and was admitted for Masters in Computer science. Despite the fact that I learnt the course is highly competitive in my school, I went for it anyways. Just make sure all your application letter is convincing enough. You can check online for tips. But above all, God says the YES! 2 Likes |

Hello Hse, I appreciate your contributions here. I was denied last year (my first appl.) for financial reasons after three months of VO processing time. Still don't know specifically why they weren't convinced about the financial capability. My uncle who was my sponsor gave me his company's acct (he owns the company) with a balance of #20M plus copies of company docs and tax clearance. This time having paid one semester fees mandated by school and now i have a new admission letter for the same one year post grad program for Sept start date,do you advise i can re-apply between now and March? Any implication for early application bearing in mind that VO sometimes hold docs for long as experienced by many last year? Also,is it advisable to include my payment in the appl.? Advise pls. |

I submitted bank statement of less than 5M then. I re-applied last december but this time with 2 accts summing up to a little less than 20M plus document of properties worth a little less than 200M. I believe they also consider every other dependants of your sponsor. You should include a letter from your sponsor to respond to their claim. He should state that he is very capable of sponsoring you through and state the reason(s) he wants to sponsor you. He should also declare his properties |

Possible reason(s) you were denied. No matter how small a company is, spending say N6m/N20m (~33% of liquidity or possibly profits-i'm just saying profits) on your education is a very important and critical decision for the company so it should be backed by very very strong reasons and accompanying documentation.remember results for 6 months may be enough to form an opinion on how healthy the company is for the year(company's financial performance)does your sponsor own 100% of the shares? If not is there proof the other shareholders were carried along or gave their blessings? What Return on Investment does the company expect from this seemingly make or break investment? Bro, here's what I say, unless you don't have these funds in a personal account of a sponsor with reasonable number of other dependents, think very well before you use a company as sponsor whoever may own it. insight: Hello Hse, I appreciate your contributions here. Dears, pls i need candid advice from the house, want to apply for TRV (Sept 2013 semester - 2014 August) got admission already from GBC. but my passport would expire in January 2014. can this passport be used to apply or i should get another one? bearing in mind that the Nigerian immigration wouldn't issue another passport until the current expires and from the Canadian embassy checklist. it is clearly stated that your passport should be valid for the duration of you study as a study permit cannot be issued beyond the validity of you passport. |

teexzle: Hey guys am also interestd in ds questn as my passport will expire my december 2013, and am applyn 4 a 2 yrs msc program, gurus in d aus pls respond..thanks I think the general rule is that it should be valid for at least 6 months moving forward but, the confusion is dat CDHC is not like USA visa interview where you go today and say my passport expires in 7 months time, Unlike US visa procedure, CDHC can keep your passport from now till November and then tell you that your passport has less than 6 months validity remaining so go and get new passport just as they do to people with respect to start dates. If your start date is one a year, that is automatic bouncing. The sad thing is that they will not blame themselves for keeping the application in the freezer all this while. Unfortunately, I apologise for wasting your valuable time as I do no frankly know what to advice. It may be possible to get a new passport and cancel the old one. Mine got missing and I applied for renewal (Worst case scenerio, you declare it missing, get a renewal and then go and get the current one cancelled claiming it has been found ) |

Hi All, I have not been in Lagos for sometime now, and I have not been logging on. Na wa for CDHC and all the bad news, am still in shock, seems like they just closed all August and September applications that had not been treated earlier, because they had to meet some crazy deadline. My heart goes out to all that were refused, espiecially Mercy and Adexcube you guys really contributed to the thread and God will surely reward your efforts. |
