kim kardashian :Yeas, this is extremely naive kim kardashian :It is OK for your romance partner to invite you and provide accommodation and other reasonable supports such as accommodation details and welfare, but i do not encourage you to apply for a visa under the sponsorship of a total or partial stranger, you are an adult and you are travelling to the UK for pleasure, therefore, you are expected (by requirement) to be responsible for the expenditures of your trips, and you must be accountable for yourself by the terms and conditions of the visa policies: Please, refer to the original posts and learn how you can be sponsored and by whom. kim kardashian :The only reason that any fresh application would be decided on the basis of previous application is if you involved fraud or misleading information in the past, otherwise, your new application will be treated in its own merit even though the reasons for those previous refusals will be considered. Bear in mind that it is a silly thing to get a new passport (because the existing one has refusal stamps), it would be OK if you are applying for a visa to another country that does not share immigration intelligence or correspond with the other. but some silly people go for new passports and yet return to the same embassy that retains details of the previous one. So, do not go for a new passport because, if you do, your action will be seen as illusive attempt which will subject you to more scrutiny to the jeopardy of your application: Know that an applicant with multiple refusal stamps in his passport has a better chance than the one who comes with a fresh passport every time he applies for a visa kim kardashian :Travel history may be of advantage, but it is not a necessity, and not all countries that you travel to that helps in your chance, the quality of the countries is what matters, and yet, there is always a first time in everything |

kim kardashian :If you are using a sponsor for such pleasure trip, then, forget it, and if you are going to any country in Europe, be prepared to sponsor yourself, this is a requirement |

But you would get away with it if you deserve the visa, this issue would only come up if there are other things to question about your application |

Hello vicjustice, I intend to go to the uk for my masters. I have paid the required deposit of 3000 pounds. I intend to use a letter from a company stating that it will take care of my fees and living costs for my visa application. I will also produce a bank statement showing that the firm has enough funds to sponsor my Msc programme. Will this be acceptable? |

Will this be acceptable? It would be acceptable if the firm is indeed connected to your study, and you must demonstrate the benefit that the company will get from your education. As much as i like to believe that your intentions are genuine, i also like to warn you of the risk involved in applying deceptive measures or giving misinformation: avoid the 10 years ban. |

A lot of people make the mistake of making deposits into their accounts prior to visa application; this action is called "Money Lodgement" which is an express ground for visa refusal: Do not naively commit this violation (by depositing lump sums of money into an account which apparently stands in isolation) for presentation purpose. Such account does not meet the requirement of an acceptable bank statement so, applying for a visa with it will only give you a definite result, REFUSAL. This is how it works; An acceptable bank statement must have up to six months transaction records demonstrating your income (from verifiable sources) and expenditures, and it must have good enough fund to sustain your trip and intentions, and also; it must have enough balance to keep you going after the trip: preferably, a Savings account, Salary account or Wages account: Importantly, you must be able to satisfy your Visa Officer that you have somewhat of an obligation or home tie to return to Nigeria for. I regret to say that until your bank statements meet the standard format as explained, you will continue to get refused no matter how many times you applied or how much money you have in your accounts Please i want to ask if i collect money from my husband through western union and deposit this in my salary account, is this money lodgement, even when i present the western union money receipts. The money deposited will correspond with what is in the western union receipts |

zubbainno123:Unless you seek asylum and your application is successful (even though your chance is less than 5%), this action will greatly affect your travel history thus having a long term negative effect on your future travel: you may face a ban and the severity would depend on how you remove yourself or get removed from the UK |

Why do people use the silly characters? I wonder why people use the silly characters like poster above? Do they think that they are being clever? Is it a fault with Blackberry? Anything like that in job or visa application must fail! |
Re: Main Reasons Many Are Refused Visas by Nobody: 8:35am On Jul 20, 2012 |
@zubainno I think you are just trying to be smart. VICJ answered your question. There was no mix up. Over staying is over staying. Terms of the visa is clear. Regardless of the length of the validity of the visa - maximum stay is 6 months |
Re: Main Reasons Many Are Refused Visas by justwise(m): 8:48am On Jul 20, 2012 |
zubbainno123: What sort of holiday is that? Staying 6months even on one trip is madness, next time you apply for visa you will have to explain what you were doing in the UK for that long. The obvious guess is that you are probably working illegally or engaged in some dodgy business during that time. |

Re: Main Reasons Many Are Refused Visas by Vicjustice: 1:36pm On Jul 27, 2012 |
kennyGGG:Unfortunately, this error puts you in the category of "attempting to obtain the visa by means of deception", and the misinformation attracts a ban, i reckon a 10 years ban. kennyGGG:No amount of letter or the content there-in can change the decision kennyGGG:You can not do this if under a ban kennyGGG: MY OLD PASSPORT EXPIRES THIS YEAR HeNECE THE NEED TO DO A RENEWAL BEFORE SUBMISSION EVEN THOUGH MY OLD PASSPORT STILL HAS A FEW MONTHS TO EXPIRE. SHOULD I SUBMIT THE OLD BATTERED PASSPORT TOGETHER WITH THE NEW? I STATED IN THE FORM THAT I HAVE APPLIED BEFORE AND WAS REFUSED AND I ALSO MADE KNOWN MY REASONS.I can not encourage you to apply for any visa in this predicament, but to answer your question, you are required to use a passport that has (at least) 6 months before expiration, and if it is not your first passport, you are expected to include your previous passport (whether expired or condemn) with your new one unless you claim it is lost or stolen. kennyGGG:That is the exact definition of "Money Lodgement" |

Re: Main Reasons Many Are Refused Visas by blank(f): 3:31pm On Jul 27, 2012 |
kennyGGG: You can liquidate it and keep it for the mandatory period (don't know if the 3 months still apply abi na 1 month). I did exactly the same thing. I liquidated my fd into my savings account and kept it for 2 months plus before i applied and i got my visa. U can include the certificate (can't remember if i included mine). |
Re: Main Reasons Many Are Refused Visas by blank(f): 3:33pm On Jul 27, 2012 |
Also wanted to add that you cannot leave it as a fixed deposit and present that cos it would mean that the money is not available for you to use. (That was the advice i got from PFL). |

blank: Also wanted to add that you cannot leave it as a fixed deposit and present that cos it would mean that the money is not available for you to use. (That was the advice i got from PFL). Thanks blank, that is kind of you. Is there anything like mandatory period money liquidated into an account must remain there? I intend liquidating mine the week of printing out the statement because I have collected the interest on the deposit even before the tenor elapsed which is 3months and I rolled over for another 1month. Is it compulsory I submit an expired passport? Something in me tells me its isn't necessary. thanks 1 Like |
