1. Pls I’m new here and a little bit confused about the visa procedure.

2. How do i book appointment to translate documents at either Abuja or Lagos?

3. How do i book appointment for legalization at Italian embassy?

Their vsf website isnt really clear on the process and documents. I’ve also read a very long chain of thread but this isn’t clear to me.

Pls kindly help.
Re: Italian Student Visa-help! by Ujules: 3:26pm On Jul 10, 2020
Do you also advise i translate documents and legalize them first, before booking visa appointment.

Or should i go ahead and book visa appointment to secure a slot first.

If you're in Lagos, search for Mrs Zita on the thread to get her contact, if in Abuja, search for Mr Oluga both translates but the time for your docs pick up depends on the volume of the work they have.

2. You send an email to the consulate you wish to make the legalization. But before you book the appointments, make sure you have translated your documents and authenticated them.

Thank you. My problem now is that i no longer have extra copies of my legalized/authenticated transcripts. I submitted it to different schools in another country who requested for it as part of their requirements.

I have to go back to Abuja and redo another copy and would like to do the translation in Abuja as well, instead of going on a round trip to Lagos➡️Abuja➡️and back to Lagos.

Do you have Mr Oluga contact?

Im also a bit confused about the birth certificate thing.
I was born before 1992, does it mean i have to do the affidavit and NPC attestation, and get another birth certificate from NPC. Does the birth certificate/affidavit/ NPC attestation need to be translated and also authenticated at MOFA?

08033052384 Mr oluga is the name

I really do not know about the process for persons born before 1992, but I know that whichever document you would use have to be translated and legalized before embassy would touch it for legislation

The affidavit and NPC attestation is sufficient. Both documents take the place of birth certificate for those born 1992. You also need to translate and authenticate at MOFA. I advise you to send copies for translation while processing authentication (because translation might take time if the translators are busy).

I think you should be able to do the translation in Abuja. The rule is that you can translate anywhere but everyone is just being extra careful by translating at the consulate's recommended translators to avoid stories that touch.

1) Was told that is part of the documents you will summit when applying for vIsa.

2) Pre-enrollment is done on line for now whereas Legalization is done at the embassy.

3) You will have to send the embassy a mail and they will reply with date for your legalization. However, it seems the have cancelled legalization for now due to the pandemic.

Hello, I need help on how the process of getting the Yellow card goes?
Re: Italian Student Visa-help! by Ujules: 1:06pm On Jul 12, 2020
I already have a BA degree but I'm going for another Bachelor's degree programme.

1. Is it necessary to translate and legalize my BA certificate and transcripts.

2. Since NECO is not required according to their website, shey theres no need to translate and legalize it at the consulate?

If you've done attestation of birth by NPC, how much were you charged? I went to NPC office in Aba today and the woman said it's 11,000.

Once they hear anything that has to do with abroad, the price escalates, even though I told her it wasn't for visa/travel.

Will advise anyone that want to Authenticate his or her results not to buy any scratch card from anyone because you will be asked to buy another one when submitting your results

I emailed Lagos and Abuja embassy for enquires about translation. Their response:

Dear Sir/Madam,

Kindly note that you can go to any English-Italian translator for the translation provided that the documents are accurately translated.

You may however contact any of the under listed translators:

They gave me 3 translators numbers for Lagos and Abuja embassy gave me another translators contact.

If you need any of the contacts, you can email me.

Pre enrollment is now online so you might do it before you legalise your documents. However , some school asked for translated documents when filling the pre enrollment form online.

Hi Iyoma, Pls can you advise me on the following?
1. Did you do legalization at the embassy before proceeding to online pre-enrollment?

2. Can i book appointment for legalization at the embassy while waiting for legalization at MOFA and translated documents to be ready?

3. When you were filling your pre-enrollment form, what option of “Qualifications and Language Certificates”, there are lots of options and I didn’t know which option to choose.

4. Is it wise to submit online pre-enrollment without first doing legalization?
