Same here with the bleeding tin. It stopped den started again. Went to d hospital on Wednesday they said I should come bak in 2weeks if it dosnt stop. But since yesterday it hasn't come. Don't want to believe it can eva be Aunt flow.

i'm of the opinion that he might be teething....

As for the putting stuff in the mouth, I guess is normal for growing babies to do that as my 9month old still does that teething or no teething.
Just make sure things within his reach are clean like teething rings etc. Pls put phones away as they can carry bacteria and we don't want that for your cutie.
If he is drooling, it might be teething and for me, I don't use teething drugs, if temp is high, I use cool cloth to clean his body with my thermometer nearby, too high, I use panda and watch it.

try strepsil for the sore throat. There's one strepsil that contains honey and paracetamol or something. You can also drink a tablespoon full of palm kernel oil it feels good on the throat

At 8 months my first was eating watermelon never tried eko . If your kid likes it and no adverse reactions you are good to go.

This just made me laugh my first kid was like that for a long time. What I used to do was that when I get up I will just arrange pillow by his side so when he is using hand to look for me and he touches the pillow he will sleep back thinking am still by his side.

No ma,your child doesnt need the help of any drug to teeth,its a natural process and so will happen with or without any drug.you could help him by getting him "teething rings" which he can chew on and If there's a case of fever,you could also give paracetamol.

My pediatrician warned greatly against teething powder. I didn't use anything for my son just teether now he has 6teeth (2down and 4up) at 6months . He so ready for chicken.

baby tribotan is good. Since she's fleshy it might be heat rashes caused by folds in the neck. Buy agnesia powder and make sure the area is never wet by applying constantly. You can use tribotan morning and night and use agnesia all through the day.

Pls use baby tribotan but mix with shea butter cos it will burn ur baby's neck if u use it alone.

the consultant paediatrician that i met after questioning said he is taking after me cuz I don't poo everyday.now I have to pump his tommy after two days before he can poo.I'm not comfortable with this issue at all.pls I need solution.I give him different types of cereals from that 6months but only rice and wheat base cereals.I was giving him small gold from 6months to 1year before I changed to peak 123.biko make una help me.I need solutions.thank

You should be able to get it in any big mall like shoprite, Game and any one around you. They may call it prum or prune. Or buy the juice one but please make sure it's 100% prune if you are buying juice

Crush ginger, soak in hot water, add lemon/lime and honey..
Drink, gurgle.
It always works cos ginger has strong anti-inflammatory properties, lemon is a good antioxidant and disinfectant and honey is just soothing and sweet

So glad to read all the wonderful advice here from all the mommas in the house; though am a father with a 3 weeks old baby, i always look foward to this page to read and pass the wonderful info to my wifey. Please this is our worry;
My baby suddenly started having rashes on her forehead, dosctor says we should not cover her too much because shes big (4.2 at birth) and we heed that advice. My wife suddenly develop cold/cough/catarrh and i was scared that she will pass it on to our baby, took mum to hospital and shes getting better but within 48 hours, baby started having running nose; its so painful to see her struggle with breath. But her appetite is good, shes EBF and she feeds well and poo well( like 4 times a day). My MIL sometimes put her mouth in my babys nose to suck out the mucus sometimes(i dont knw if this is right) and baby feels good for a while b4 she will starting running her nose again, she does not sleep well as before. We only give her Vit C every 3 hour and Panda cold/paracetamol. Rashes due to heat and now catarrh due to cold AT THESAME TIME. Pls advice.
N.B I'm also planning to take her to the hospital on mon or tue, preferably a general hospital because i notice that our private hospital does not have childrens doc(peadetrician).
Pls wetin make we do, am so confuse, this is our first child!

Hello daddy. Cold /catarrh may also be as a result of infection, not necessarily exposure although exposing a child aggravates it. For the rashes use baby tribotan. As for covering up, try to keep baby in cotton clothes, don't use wool cap or those wool shawls, also avoid direct fan/AC
MIL sucking the catarrh is the best way to relieve baby as she cannot blow her nose yet. Also do steam bath, get a bucket of hot water, add 1/2 drops of eucalyptus oil to the water and let your wife carry the baby. Cover both of them with a big cloth so they can inhale the steam. It will clear both their noses. If symptoms persist after 3 days, she may need antibiotics so to the doctor
