Yes dear give ur baby more water no mater d age. It hapened 2 my lo dat was even on ebf den, he didn't pee atal 4 about 2 days, I was scared n took him 2 Hospital, Dr said its d weda dat I should start givin him water, which I did n he started peeing. So I advice u do So aswel.

Good afternoon sabi mums in the house. Please help o, my LO clocked one year on d 30th Jan, although she eats very well buh she has absolutely refused to take cereal or pap from her bowl. She will only accept it if I use her feeding bottle. Also, she prefers to eat with me, if I try to dish her food separately, she won't accept it after one or two spoons. She's walking already, she's healthy, meeting milestones, etc.
I also attached a pics from her bday. Lol. The struggle to tie her gele was real
Should I just let her be and follow her pattern, hoping that she will change with time. Please mothers respond o,. We are all here to learn and share Thank u mas

You should see a Dr! Persistent stooling isn't good for anyone. I would have assumed the green colour is a sign that he's not eating well but the mucus in the poop shows it's probably diarrhea.

Don't waste a minute get professional help!

Mama, from my own little experience, when my baby was pooing (bt not greenish), even after taking her to the hospital nd bought drugs, the poo still continue, I had to think about what could cause the problem, I notice anytime I give her nestle water she poo, because that is the bottle water I started using b4 the poo started, I had to change it and now she poos just once or twice compare to like 5 or 6 times daily. Try to check wat ur baby or you has been eating lately, or any introduction of new food.

Also I read that banana puree stops diarrhea in baby, I gave her that too. If u have tried all u can, mayb u should take him to c a doctor.

My baby is also 5 month,she experienced it for almost 3 weeks b4 it stopped. I was told its teething poo.
She feed well n does her normal activity well.no temp or any sign for worries.

I later google it n i read dat once baby did nt get enough foremilk can cause it so i later changed our pattern of breastfeeding by allowing her empty one breast before going to the nxt n the whole greenish poo stopped.

Mama's good evening, pls I intend introducing foods like frisocream for my lo and some foods when he gets to 4 month. He possets a lot (throwing up of breast milk). I was told when I introduce solids that is when he will stop. His own is so bad that I can't even take him out and stay long. We change cloths up to 3 times in church before service is over and the bibs are not helping too. He will be 3 months on the 10 of this month.
pls I need food suggestions so that I can start getting them before then.

@ mumsgirl27 it actually just occurred to me yesterday that the pooping started about the same time I started giving her frisogold, so I have decided to stop, thank you.

@missmalachi, I thank God am not the only one that has experienced it, she also has normal activity, no temperature, still playing well like nothing is wrong.

Thank you so much for your response, I've called The Doc again and he said to bring her poop tomorrow, if it's teething or the Frisogold, I don't know, but am happy it's not new to you mamas and hopefully it would stop soon.

Seeing things like how?
Does he look at you straight in the eye?
Does he squint when you direct light in his eyes?
Does he stare at you when breastfeeding?
Why do u think he cant see?

If you are expecting to see him smile when you come in or look excited when he sees a fancy toy, you are on a lonnnnnggggg thing. Some babies can fit to not send.
They will just bone and carry face. Lol

Does it sound like a normal cough?? The mucousy type, that is. If baby is feeding, drinking, playing, sleeping n breathing well, then as diffy as it sounds, it will resolve by itself.

All u can do is symptom relief:
1) get a cool mist humidifier- my personal best
2) a non medicated saline drop can help relieve dried up n stuffy nose
3) steam inhalation: just get a bowl of hot water n have baby inhale the steam
4) vapour rub: a drop or 2 of eucalyptus oil on baby's bib where he can inhale also helps
5) give baby loads of fluid: keep baby well hydrated

Whilst a lot has been said about OTC cough syrups, I am personally not a fan/advocate of it.

If cough is persistent n accompanied by high body temp, breathlessness, green snot et al, then see your pediatrician ASAP. Cough can also be a sign of something serious. Most times it is just mere cough though.

Babies at one month still have a fuzzy vision. They can detect light, movements,can focus on near objects about 8-12" away. They can make eye contact that u might still be doubtful about. Once baby's eyes respond to external stimuli like light, motion et al then baby can c. But I have loads of respect for a mother's intuition- so if u think sthg is wrong, pls see yo pediatrician ASAP. It's better to find out u are wrong n have peace than otherwise.
