I put my kids on a schedule from when they were babies and now they sleep as if on clockwork. The younger sleeps by 6:30pm and the elder by 7: or 7:30pm. I also make sure they eat very well b4 sleeping.

By schedule I mean, they have a time they eat, nap, play read, etc. Now, they know what to expect at any time and welcome it.

The disadvantage is that they do not like their schedule being disrupted. E.g we go out and return late, they become so grouchy and over tired

@Jade sorry i wsnt able to reply ur post b4 now. D drugs i wantd 2 talk about r d usual flagyl n septrin. My aunt who is a matron said infection is mostly d cause of these things but people overlook it from dt perspective. She said ordinary slight infection in d pelvis area can hinder sp**m from getting 2 its destination'. So she told me 2get these 2 drugs d take dem @ d start of my period till it ends. She also wrote eviol, folic acid, b co. Meanwhile, i ws on metformin wch makes me ovulate but it ws prescribed by d clinic. Clomid dsnt make me ovulate.

My fear is that we will start rejecting the drug but it has its uses. I don't know about measles but i know it is an anti-inflammatory drug that can be used to treat asthma, certain skin rashes, bonchial inflammations, allergic reactions, chest infections etc.

It is a very effective drug that can save a kid's life when it is necessary. I have had cause to use it for my son and it worked immediately where others failed. The doctor's are professionals. Let them do their job. It doesnt mean that we just accept their word as law but you can ask them questions and ask for an alternative if you are still uncomfortable.

i went to the clinic this evening to clearify the injection n drugs cos i did not want to look paranoid. i was told it was prednisolone that was d drug given to me and not injection. the predisolone doesnt come in injections. moreso, it was an anagelsic and antibiotic that was given as an inj. Phewwwwww. my mind came down very well. i wante d to be sure so i dont have the wrong info up there in my memory. she was given the second shot today after all d explanations and i also gave the prednisolone broken in half to her this nyt. aaarrrrrrghggghhh. how i hate injections. thanks to all u mums out there. i almost lost my head today. havnt had up to 8 hrs sleep. my baby sef dey play like say him no send me.

I use a flask. I boil the water wait 30 mins (I use a timer) then fill the flask. So when I need to make a bottle I just pop the water from the flask into the bottle then add the formula then pop the bottle in some cold water to cool. It takes about the same time to cool a bottle as it does to heat it up. Its so simple and staying within the guidelines.
I will redo the flask a few times throughout the day. I throw it away after 2hrs cos dats d instruction(cos dia's risk of bacteria growing in it)....you have to be very hygenic wen dealing with bottle fed babies
As per water,I think you start givin him little too,he's eating already,aptamil is only close to natural milk,it isn't breastmilk
As per the measurement,for me it depends,my babies love it watery..its ur choice though,you can decide to add more or lessen the stated measurement and the quantity of water matters too
Plus you shoudnt refrigerater,after 2hrs jst pour a way,dats y u shdnt mix d formula until its close to its feeding time.
My babies didn't react to it cos I started giving them formula from birth(am nt too lucky with breast milk) though I started wit Nan1 but ever since av started aptamil,dey av bin okay n lookin chubby that people dnt believe if I say they are just 2mths old

pls sis. this is the 3rd time my baby is pooing today. rescently he poo 4, 5 days and his doc said it's not bad that he's adding weight. today is the very first day that am giveing him something other than breast milk. (aptamil and water)should i continue or what should i do?

Mummyz,owr u today,my son is 7wks plus today,and before now I'd noticed that hez always gassy,has added a lot of weight and when he poops(once in bout 2days)its always explosive,watery and plenty,went to complain at d clinik but was told he was fine
So I decided to do some research,and I found out that babies who displayed such symptoms were getting too much foremilk and less hindmilk(this is termed oversupply)meaning that I was producing a lot of milk(d thing used to spurt out lik a tap)and d youngman wud be satisfied with d foremilk and unabl to tak d hindmilk(wch had all d nutrients),now this foremilk contains a lot of lactose and sucrose,which made him gassy(lactose)and add a lot of weight(sucrose).

D solution is for d baby to feed on one breast for d whole day,this way he gets to d hindmilk no matter what(I used to change breasts after every feed,which was wher d wahala was),and wen d milk starts rushing out lik a tap,let it stop befor continuing wth d feeding,I tried this method and iv noticed changes in my baby,hez not as gassy as he used to be(I actualy thot he had colic) hope this helps someone
