Hello to all great auto section members. I realy want to inquiqe about the avalon named above. Its like its not well patronised here in Naija. Initially it came in as one of the most expensive sedans in nairaland before camry 2010 came along. A certain dealer B-fire has had almost 23pages trying to sell his extremely clean avalon yet its still available. Now another poster Icme, has another clean one for 2.3million. What is wrong? Is it the size? |

Is it the size? Avalon is about the best Toyota you can drive. I just pre-ordered one for a PH client and the dude has been noisy about it's performance on my BB If you intend getting one, please just go online and read up about the car. But careful, it's an expensive unit But will give u returns on invest performance wise. If i will use a Toyota, it will be an Avalon. |

I understand clearly its the "cream" of the toyota sedans but it seems people just ignore it for the camry or corrola making me wonder if its luxury status also comes with a luxury maintenance fund? |

Well, not in all cases. But you can bet you will be spending more to keep it in shape compared with the Camry Avalon if u ask me should have been built with the Lexus badge on it. The car is a class on its own. Commands respect and has huge presence. Luxury? premium!! 1 Like |

whenever i look at the avalon i always thought it should have been a lexus, its got that lexus built,look and quality ...people dont patronize it like the camry maybe its more expensive to buy/maintain...its all v6 |

My guy if you have money go for avalon. The car is simply super. Though mostly V6 engine, but fuel economy is very good especially model 2006 & above. It is one of the few cars that have the best suspensions in auto industry. That's why the car is good for long distance journey. It has no any major maintenance issue. Just change your lubes routinely & enjoy your avalon! I can't afford it now, but in future I am planning to celebrate my 40th birthday with AVALON! Lol. 3 Likes |

If u drive a 2000 and up avalon, u 'll hav nothing to do wit a camry for life. I drove drove my bros 2001 xls model and my 2005 big daddy dey vex me wheneva am driving it. U can neva go wrong wit an avalon 2 Likes |

That could be the reson you were impressed, however the avalon is a superior car more power, torque and presence... |

yungboss:. D camry is a V6 but d difference is clear. At 140km/hr on enugu-ph highway u barely hear any sound. The avalon is smooth running and beta than a camry. 1 Like |

exactly 1 yr ago i upgraded from my old papa-dash-me toyota corolla to a 98 Avalon XLs and i'm loving the car everyday. no major repairs just routine maintenance. plus if u pay attention to the warning lights on the dashboard, then you cant go wrong. it's a luxury car, very spacious, superb handling, smooth and super-silent driving (you wont even notice when its changing gears). however, it comsumes more fuel compared to d corolla, but then i guess it's cos all Avalon are V6 engines (same engine as Sienna and Highlander). |

since its not so common in naija..the parts are hard to find and expensive...if u hv contacts in the usa, u will enjoy the car....its a luxury car...unlike camry. u cant compare the 2 cars |

It's the naija crowd mentality, that's why eveybody is still buying 99 camry! Go to Ladipo, parts full everywhere.... Avalon is my 2nd love, after Mercedes S-class! |
